Hello 2020 !!

Let's do some catch up !! What have I been wearing? I was off on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, so I got to go casual.  Let's take a look :

This cute tunic was my souvenir from DC last October - note the pearl trim at the bell sleeve seam. I somehow managed to find some black sandals with pearl trim at Off Broadway Shoes.

The tassel necklace is also from DC, only from Macy's. it matches perfectly.

On December 31st, Doc was working in the morning, so I ran some errands and got some snacks for NYE. We are not big partiers, so we just hang out together and chill.

This is the overall look - Tommy Bahama baseball jacket, INC corduroy slacks and a Bisou Bisou sweater.

The sweater is copper with gold lurex shot throughout.

It also has these diagonal zippers along the shoulders. This tassel necklace also came from Macy's in DC. I liked it because it has all three shades of metal - gold, silver and rose gold, so it matches anything.

On January 2nd, it was back to work. I wore an outfit that I have worn a lot in previous years. This is an ivory henley type T shirt, with a ponte skirt in a brown reptile print.

On top, a coat from Nanette Lepore. It has a matching sheath dress, but I have yet to wear the dress, or the outfit together.

On January 8th, I wore the last of my sparkly holiday sweaters. This sweater is really pretty and comes from Catherine Maladrino.

I have several pairs of ivory slacks, so I don't know which brand this is.

Here's a better look at the gold lurex pattern on the sweater. It goes diagonally across the front. My circle belt is vintage and my necklace is a souvenir from Fort Lauderdale.

On January 9th, I had to attend a leadership class. The classrooms are always cold. I wore an Ann Taylor pencil skirt in brown wool blend. On top, I wore a Style and Co sweatshirt top.

My new Karen Scott boots were a present that I purchased with a Macy's gift card.

The top is sweatshirt material. with a houndstooth pattern in gold lurex, and a chiffon ruffle at the hem for fun. The lariat necklace is from Neiman Marcus.

On Friday, January 10th, I wore two tried and true favorites. The lace printed slacks are from INC, and the lurex bow sweater is from Ann Taylor.

I screwed up my timeline, so I have to go back to January 6th. This skirt is something I picked up with a couple of the gift cards that I got for Christmas from various loved ones. It is beige boucle with rose gold lurex, from St John.

On top, I wore my beautiful Ivanka Trump sweater that I picked up in Philadelphia. It has a thin boucle body and satin cuffs and bottom band.

On top, a glitzy thick satin baseball jacket that I got on EBay. My Tommy Bahama jacket has a stain on the front, so I only wear it for casual occasions.

These delicate crystal necklaces are all from Forever 21 - hard to believe, but they do tarnish in a short time, and then get discarded. But they were only 2.99 or so. Well, F21 is out of business, so that is not an option after this group becomes unwearable.

On January 7th, I wore a very cute combo of items. The black T shirt has chain mail sleeves - it is from Michael Kors, and I got it at the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop semi-annual sale.

The tweed skirt is old - black tweed with silver lurex.

On top, my gorgeous St John Jacket - black twill with gunmetal studs.

On January 13th, I wore a pair of slacks that were in the "Donate or Keep ?" pile. They are from some obscure Los Angeles designer from two decades ago when I used to go to the sample sales in the LA Garment District.

I decided that I love them and will keep them!!!. They are olive and red tie-dye stripes. The black leather moto jacket is from Neiman Marcus.

The sweater is from Zara and I also got it during my DC shopping last October. It is olive with a gunmetal chain trim around the jewel neck.

Yesterday, January 14th, saw me wearing a mis-matched suit.

The brown slacks are from Ann Taylor, and the ombre crocodile print jacket is from Charter Club. A Caslon turtleneck and a Louis Vuitton scarf finished it up.

Today was totally 80s. The plaid skirt is Mixit, a JC Penney brand. The turtleneck is blue with blue lurex, and came from Dress Barn. It even has shoulder pads !!!

This beautifully tailored jacket comes from a local Korean bespoke clothier. It is so nice.

Since there was so much blue, I wore emerald jewelry.

Onto other things - my orange roses are going crazy since we have had so much rain. They are so full and smell so good.

Pandi has been playing with her toys a lot. They were placed in a metal pail in order to get them out of my housekeeper's way, and I haven't turned them out for a couple of weeks. So when I did tip over the pail, Miss Pan went nuts and played with her toys for hours. Exhaustion ensued.

On Sunday, we had a mother-daughter date. We went on a long walk, and I let Pandi lead me. Guess where she went? Dr Lizardo's - her vet !!! I did not foresee that.

She actually wanted in!!! That is quite an endorsement to their level of service.

We also went by the local big mall, Bella Terra. They have a life sized chess set up there, just like they did in Montreal.

When we passed by the school yard, alas, this sign told us that we were not allowed. Pandi was disappointed. I think that she did not realize that she is in fact, a dog.

My Birchbox came.

From top to bottom:
1) MALIN + GOETZ Revitalzing Eye Gel.
2) Lavanila The Healthy Fragrance Pure Vanilla Eau De Parfum
3) Touch In Sol Pretty Filter Glassy Skin Balm
4) Grande Cosmetics GrandePrimer - an eyelash primer. I have tried it, and it boosts the lash length a lot. It seems like clear mascara.
5) Pai Chamomile and Rosehip Calming Day Cream
6) Alterna CAVIAR anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture Priming Leave-in Conditioner

I made a really good lunch on Saturday. I got pork loin chops at Stater Brothers. Then I dipped them in milk and rolled them in Italian style bread crumbs. I fried them in olive oil and topped them with a blop of Grey Poupon and some peppers sauteed with the chops.

I made broiled zucchini planks with cheddar on top. I was not a fan of the bacon and cheddar instant mashed potatoes. I tried to improve them with a blop of sour cream. I won't buy these again.

That gets us to Friday, January 17th. This is when I sat down and finished this post. I still have more outfit photos and things to show you, but that will be in the next post.

I hope you are all doing well, and stay tuned for more hi-jinx. I am getting older next week, boo.
