Easter Eggs?

I went for a run in HB Central Park the other night. As I rounded the corner, what did I see?

One of the Egyptian Goose flocks had 6 chicks!!! They must have been Easter eggs !!

Also, here's a closer view of the origami neckline on the Apt 9 jacket that I wore on Tuesday.

It's very nicely done, and the jacket came from Kohl's.

Yesterday, I worked from 11-8 because of a night time meeting. Doc had already left for his office before I got dressed, so I was left to my own devices. I propped my camera on two bookends.

This outfit is a pair of Antthony black slacks and two tank tops, a yellow one layered under a floral one.

They have racer backs, which is a no-no for any office, I would assume.

So I wore my black lace Bar III bomber jacket on top.

I wore three necklaces - amethyst, citrine, and faux emerald, all one gold chains.

On my right arm, a real emerald/diamond ring and my Hermes CDC.

On my left arm, three multi-gem bracelets, and my Claddagh wedding ring.

Today, I was all about the comfort:

This is a Karen Scott embellished T shirt. I love that it's a little bit longer in length. I am also wearing a Dress Barn blue, white and black flared skirt with godets for extra swoosh.

Here is a better look at the silver detail on the T shirt.

I wore my silver braided necklace that my mom gave me for my birthday one year.

On my right arm, a sapphire/diamond ring and a lapis/opal watch that was also my mom's.

On my left arm, two tricolor gold bracelets, my INC X ring, and a blue topaz/garnet ring.

And I will leave you with the roses that Doc brought me this week. What a guy, eh??

Back to our Regular Programming

As I mentioned a post or two ago, I usually wear dresses. But I have been on a pants kick for some reason. Well, I have recovered. This is what I wore yesterday:

This beautiful dress is from Taylor. I originally saw it in Nordstrom's window in Santa Monica, but I bought it at Neiman Marcus, almost 6 months later, on sale. Doc was with me when I saw it in SM, and he said "You should get that dress. It would look good on you." How could I refuse?

On top, for the commute only (too hot later), I wore a gray jacket from Apt 9 that has the coolest origami treatment at the neckline.

I wore my mom's two necklaces again - the lacy medallion and the crystals on a string.

On my right arm, a tanzanite wide band and two diamond tennis bracelets.

On my left arm, an amethyst tennis bracelet and white gold wedding set.

Today's dress is from Bar III. Although this is the cutest dress in person, when photographed, it makes me look like I have a beer belly because of the way the stripes curve at the waistline seam.

See? Beer belly gone, but I AM sucking it in big time as well.

On top,  a tan collarless jacket from Petite Sophisticate.

I repeated the short and long necklace theme again,  The shorter one is Ann Taylor and the longer one is INC.

On my right arm, an INC bracelet and a black/clear diamond ring.

On my left arm, a bead/crystal bracelet from Neiman Marcus , my INC X ring and a yellow topaz ring.

Shen Yun 2017

On Saturday, my friend Lauren and I went to see Shen Yun 2017. It is a program of music and dance that illustrates many of the different types of classical Chinese arts. It was a wonderful program, with gorgeous costumes and backdrops. They said that the show changes every year, so maybe I will go and see it again in a couple of years. It was held at the Terrace Theater in Long Beach, Ca, which is about 15 minutes north of Huntington Beach.

The two blue and red backdrops are celebrities being interviewed for PBS SoCal TV.

I took this shot so you can see a bit of the LB skyline. LB used to be a very ritzy area with it's own amusement park called the Pike. Then it had a bit of a downturn, then it was regentrified. Now there are lots of restaurants, museums, art galleries, and very expensive high rise luxury condos. The Queen Mary and the Grey Goose are also there. It's a fun place to spend the day, and it does have some nice wide white sand beaches.

Here is the plaza in front of the Terrace Theater. They had full bar inside, but no food, so fortunately for the hungry ones, two food trucks parked outside. You can see the lines.

In order to celebrate the Chinese culture, of course, I wore a themed costume.

The photobomber Pandi is behind me. This is a brocade top from Clio with a gold lurex tank underneath. And of course, my trusty Express ponte pants. I have worn the tank so much that it is falling apart, so I ordered one from St John yesterday. To me, it was worth the money, because I wore this one a lot.

I even attempted a Chinese hairdo -  a big bun (it has a form underneath, that is NOT all my hair) with a couple of chopsticks stuck in there.

I started with these cute sandals, but changed into black flops once we saw how far away we had to park.

I also wore my three piece Indian parure - necklace, earrings and ring, all ruby and emerald.

On my right arm, a gold bracelet and a diamond tennis bracelet.

On my left arm, a seed bead cuff from the Chakra Shack in Laguna Beach and my yellow gold wedding rings.

Yesterday, we just relaxed and enjoyed the weather, our puppers, and did some grocery shopping and reading. Today, back to work !!!

I have been on a pants kick lately, but the next two days have dresses planned.  This is a polyester charmeuse top from Style and Co and green slacks from INC. Very comfy getup.

I wore a green agate statement necklace that I got from EBay.

On my right arm, a seraphinite bracelet  and an adventurine ring.

On my left arm, a malachite bracelt and a leopard jasper ring.

And that brings us up to speed!!!

Sun, Sand and Surf City

I had the afternoon free yesterday, so I took my sweet little Pandi down for her first trip to the beach.

We parked at Farquhar Park and strolled around for a bit. It was pretty deserted, even tough the weather was beautiful, as you can see.

Then we walked down Main Street to the pier. We stopped for a tostada. Most of the restaurants are dog friendly, as long as you sit outside.

As I said, the weather couldn't have been nicer.

Then we came home, because I promised my grandson Joseph that we would get the front garden ready for spring together. I taught him a lot about how to prepare the containers and get the seedlings ready.

So how did it turn out? Well, take a look....

Geraniums all pruned and trimmed, with a new Martha Washington in the center.

The front clump got all trimmed and a few new pots added - see the blue ones ? Those are new, besides the ones next to them and in front of them.

The front porch got a white aluminum box filled with Johnny JumpUps and a couple of new pots.

And the other side of the porch got three new inhabitants. Everybody had a good time, and Joseph can't wait to do it again come September.

So it's back to work today, and this is what I wore:

This is a loose peasant style chiffon blouse by Guess. Also, my Same old Sun Moon Stars slacks.

I wound a black and white lace print infinity scarf around my neck for some pattern mixing.
Then I added a diamond circle pendant.

A couple of hugs and kisses from Pandi, and off I go !!!
