Me So Slinky

The last two days, I have opted for comfort. Today's slinky knit dress is from DVF. I have had it a long time and it is a true wrap dress - the panels of the skirt completely overlap.

Here's a look at the wrap detail on the side. The ties are also very long.

I wore my costume turquoise and pearl necklace that I got in San Luis Obispo.

On my left arm, an enamel bangle and an emerald/diamond ring.

On my right arm, my Montana peridot ring and a self made semi-precious bracelet.

Today was Doc's last day before retiring. He has been a physician in private practice for 30 years. We had a nice little party for him last night while he was seeing his last few patients.

I wore a combination of slinky knit items. The top is the top part of an Antthony pants set, and the bottoms are Iman Global Chic.

The top has a twist detail with a gold ornament on it.

The pants are printed, with lurex running through them.

I wore three necklaces - the shortest is jade and lapis, the middle is gold herringbone and the long one is sapphire and diamond.

On my left arm, a London Blue Topaz ring and a sapphire bracelet.

On my right arm, a sapphire/diamond ring and matching bracelet.

And that's it for today - this weekend we will finish cleaning out the office and celebrate Easter with our grandkids and my MIL, Mimi.

See you soon !!!

Mole Away Day

Last Thursday, our CME (Cont Med Education) lecture was on dermatology. So of course, that reminded me that I have a weird looking mole right on my bra line. So today, a board certified dermatologist is melon balling it away. Since he is in Doc's building, I told him that if he hears squealing around 3 PM, that will most likely be me.

Anyway, I also had some computer issues yesterday. Here is what I wore Friday :

This is a Moda International dress - that was a Victoria's Secret brand. I have a cashmere turtleneck underneath it.

Here's a better look at the beige lace detail.

I wore a smoky topaz and buffalo turquoise necklace.

On my left arm, my Swarovski Nirvana in Black Diamond and my Infinity bracelet.

On my right, a leopard jasper ring.

We had a baby shower that day, so I brought the expectant mama some flowers. She is having a girl, so the pink egg works.

On Saturday, I made country style pork strips and stuffing with peas.

Then we made Easter baskets. Here is Joseph's.

Here is Benjamin's.

Here is Calista's.

Since we finally had some rain here in SoCal, the roses are blooming. These beauties are from the backyard.

Yesterday, I went all pink. It was sunny but windy.

The pants are from The Limited and the blouse is from Express.

The print is very reminiscent of Versace. I wore a gold chain belt.

I wore two necklaces - one costume and one gold herringbone.

Today, I have to present at a meeting, so I need to look polished. Ann Taylor to the rescue.

The dress has a satin inset and a satin bow detail.

Two necklaces - one marcasite and one Kenneth Jay Lane.

On my left arm, a white gold wedding set and an Italian silver bracelet.

On my right arm, a tanzanite ring, a diamond tennis bracelet and another Italian silver.

Well, that's it - for what might be a challenging day.

Survey - No Way !!!

So the survey is finally over. Yesterday was my "interview". It was a non-event. All is well. But in order to look professional:

I wore an Ellen Tracy double breasted navy wool suit with my sorta new silk cowl neck top that is green with navy polka dots.

My blue suede INC shoes are getting to be in need of heel taps, but I'm not sure if I want to replace them.

I wore a lapis and jade necklace and a belt that is older than the hills.

Last night, I didn't want to iron, so I wore a Michael Kors dress. It's a go to for me.

Another ancient belt - black patent with clear stones.

Three necklaces - two silver herringbone and one blue topaz.

On my left arm, an Italian silver bracelet and wedding rings.

On my right arm, a leopard jasper ring, a diamond tennis bracelet and another Italian bracelet.

Hard to see, but sheer polka dot hose.

And a nose pick for the win!!!

Waiting it Out

This week, we have surveyors at our hospital, which means that everything STOPS dead while we show them whatever they want to see. It's a surprise survey, so I did not get the opportunity to dress super professionally yesterday, but today is a different story.

Doc liked this long pleated silk skirt and a knit peasant top with chiffon sleeves.

My belt is really old and has been ignored for quite a long time. I wore my rose gold locket since it was long enough to not interfere with my neckline.

I wore my Tahari maryjanes even though they are not a perfect match - the horror, but they are just so cute.

Today, I knew they would be back, so I wore a suit by Dani Max. It has a jacket, a printed vest type thing and black slacks.

This is the slacks and the vest.

Then I added the deep red jacket.

The jacket has gold buttons, and so I wore a matte gold collar with multi colored cabochons.

Yesterday, it was Certified Hospital Professionals Day. I am certified a couple of different ways, in a couple of different disciplines.

My staff sent me roses and brought tamales.

This weekend, the Cherry Blossom Festival interrupted my Sunday run through the park. But I dodged them and persevered.

For St Paddy's Day, I had a large tot of Irish Whiskey, and made bangers with onions, bacon and gold peppers, cabbage with carrots and mashed potatoes.

And now we are up to date !!
