Hippity Hop Hippity Hop Easter Has Come and Gone

I have been looking for a new dining room set. Our current one has two warped chairs. I don't really get how that happened because they are made of very sturdy metal, but it's time for a new one.

The latest designs have counter height chairs for ease of getting on and off for older folks like us. They also have storage shelves underneath the table. These are the three sets that I looked at:

I got the first one - the Jameson set from Living Spaces. Since we have a small house, we needed a five person set. It's very nice and the delivery and setup was seamless.

There was another neighborhood garage sale on April Fool's Day. This house always has a lot of military gear, gun accessories, and pricy collectibles out for sale.

This is what we scored. Pandi is checking it out to see if there is anything for her.

There was a computer bag, two storage containers, two Corning Ware bowls, a couple of cookbooks, and a workout DVD.

Then a few pieces of clothing.

I got this sweater and this crepe blouse. Both were brand new with tags and both were embellished. (Obviously, because it's me !)

Mimi got me a few little gifts, including this metal cross.

She also gave me this corkboard to hang jewelry on. I hung it and a Welcome sign in the she-shed.

On Monday, April 3rd, I was off work. I wore floral leggings from a.n.a., a jersey cardigan, and a gray T shirt.

I wore a bunch of costume jewelry with this outfit.

We visited Mimi and Win and Doc picked a bunch of oranges to make orange juice with.

On April 4th, back to work!! I wore a black skirt with the new garage sale sweater.

On April 5th, I wore a Liz Claiborne dress. I usually wear nude hose and heels, but since it was chilly, I wore black tights and rust suede boots.

On April 6th, I wore the other garage sale top with a printed skirt, some Calvin Klein shoes, and a studded belt.

On April 7th, I got stuff for Easter baskets. Since three of the grandkids now live in Arizona, I made baskets for Mimi, Ashley, Preston, and Luke.

Here they are, all assembled.

On April 8th, I walked over to Bella Terra, the nearby mall.

It was crowded because the Easter Bunny was there.

On Easter Day, April 9th, I wore silver and white reptile printed pants from Worthington, a silver lurex cardigan from JM Collection, and a white T shirt.

I wore the silver dollar necklace that I got for Christmas. It's a Walking Liberty coin.

Here are the baskets at Win and Mimi's house.

Everyone seemed to like their selection of gifts.

Preston, Luke and Ashley brought me flowers. They lived for two weeks.

Back to work on April 10th. I wore this very colorful dress from eci.

I don't get many chances to wear these lavender suede shoes, so I took the opportunity.

On April 11th, I wore windowpane leggings, a black top that is embellished with rhinestones, and a red cashmere sweater from Neiman Marces.

A younger girl saw me walking and told me that I looked amazing. I didn't think so, so that was nice to hear.

On April 12th, a very old dress from Merona in a blue paisley mesh fabric. This was a keep or toss decision, and I decided to keep it a while longer.

On April 13th, another wild print dress from INC.

It was chilly again, so I wore my black suede boots by Tahari. This was the last day that it rained in our very rainy winter.

Pandi thinks every chair is her chair.

On April 13th, we celebrated her birthday, which was Apil 12th. i got her that day from the shelter. She was five then, in 2017, so she is eleven now. She is getting to be an old lady.

She got double cheeseburgers from Burger King.

Vinni was the other invitee to the party. A wonderful time was had by all!!!

Then she fell asleep, all bloated.

I got my April Ipsy bag. In it, from top to bottom:

1) Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Serum

2) The Nue Co Barrier Culture Moisturizer with probiotics

3) Eye Am Beautiful Length Volume Mascara

4) Living Proof Full Thickening Cream for Hair

5) Billion Dollar Brows Brows On Point Eyebrow pencil

I planted a bunch of seeds. These are Morning Glories.

The others are sprouting in the She-Shed, since they don't need sun to germinate.

Tomatoes and Basil.

Then some sunflowers and other mixed flowers. The package said they can take up to 30 days to germinate.

We have sprouts !!!

Back to work on April 18th. I wore ivory slacks, a peach-colored peasant style blouse, and a tweed jacket from Willi Smith.

On Tuesday, April 19th, some very old vintage slacks, an abstract print gray and black top, and a black blazer from Dana Buchman.

Pandi always joins me at the end of my workout. She likes to sit on the yoga mat. Here she is, practicing her downward dog pose.

On Thursday, April 20th, I wore a satin charmeuse blouse from St John with a navy pleated chiffon skirt from H&M.

I got this silver belt at the neighborhood garage sale.

Yesterday, April 21st, I wore my Slinky brand brown pantsuit. Still just as comfy and flattering as ever.

My belt is Paloma Picasso. I got it in Santa Barbara.

So that's about all for now. I am going to Hawaii on May 1st, so I'm sure there will be many pictures of our fun trip for my friend's 50th birthday. Stay tuned !!!
