The Eagle Has Landed!!

Well, I am back to my cozy nest in Huntington Beach. Las Vegas is just a pleasant memory. This is what I wore for the Wednesday session of the conference:

My Ivanka Trump red jersey T shirt dress with a Versace belt.

The dress has a gold novelty zipper trim on the right shoulder, and then it drapes down to the waist.

On my left arm, two gold bracelets and my tiny infinity wedding ring. On my right arm, two more gold bracelets and my white enamel/crystal ring from Saks.

I wore a bold costume gold necklace and my Enzo Angiolini gladiator sandals.

After the conference ended, we walked down to see the new hotel, the Aria. The luxury mall next door is called the Crystal Shops. They were deserted. I didn't see anyone in any of the stores.

The staircase is all light up. It's actually a very pretty setting.

At the top of the stairs is a Starbucks, and that was the only place I saw anyone.

In the Aria Hotel lobby, there was a giant floral display that looked like a wedding cake. I don't know if it changes like the Bellagio, but the planter below it was filled with spring flowers and was very pretty.

Here is another floral display that was in the Aria. There were quite a few people there, and the poker room was jammed with a waiting list.

This display was entirely made of chocolate. I took a closeup of one of the monkeys made of chocolate.

Then we moseyed over to the Cosmopolitan, the other new kid in town.

The theme of this hotel was chandeliers. They were everywhere, and the restaurant/bar was named Chandeliers.

There were seating pits with all kinds of unusual easy chairs. They had unusual decorations, too, like this stack of books under glass.

The chandeliers draped from the vaulted ceilings all the way to the casino floor.

The floor was glittery too. Everywhere it was sparkly and shiny.

Today, I flew home. Here is what I wore:

My black slinky knit Calvin Klein jumpsuit. I didn't wear the belt because of the TSA screeners.

I wore the same gold costume necklace as yesterday. I set off the alarms anyway, between the necklace and the studs on the jumpsuit. It took me a while to get through the screening.

Anyway, I'm glad to be back home. I'll show you what I bought tomorrow - this time I pinky swear. I hope you had a good week, and thanks for dropping by!!!

Playing Catch Up !!!

As you may know, I left for Las Vegas Monday morning. So I have a bit of catching up to do. First of all, we took my mom to church on Easter Sunday. Bear in mind, that this is the first time she has been to church since Christmas, since she has been sick. So I believe that it meant a lot to her. Here is what I wore:

This is a Jones New York satin blouse with a Sharagano scuba skirt. I wore Aldo sandals and a gold chain belt.

I doubled up on sapphire and diamond necklaces. After church, Doc and I went to Pinoy, the Filipino restaurant, for lunch. We ended up with some rib bones, which the boys gladly accepted.

Kenni and his bone.

Vinni and Kenni pick out bones.

Vinni and his bone.

Then, the grandkids came over for their Easter baskets. Elli helped them celebrate.

Calista modeled her tiara with gorgeous yellow hair.

Benjy and Joseph were thrilled with their gifts.

Kim showed Benjy how to use his bubbles, while Joseph counted his money.

Before you know it, it was time for me to kiss Elli and Doc goodbye.

And two hours later, I was on Las Vegas Blvd, aka The Strip.

I got there in time to do a little shopping (duh) and I will show you the spoils later. But now, I will show you the Conservatory at the Bellagio. It had an Asian/cherry blossom theme this time around.

Up on the ceiling, there were Japanese parasols.

Two beautiful birds were on either side.

A giant crane spread his wings to greet you.

There was a nest filled with little origami birds.

And bamboo cages with live finches chirping away.

There were more finches, along with cherry blossoms, up in the glass ceiling.

Big cherry blossoms sprouted, and also hung from the ceiling.

And finally, a turtle bid you goodbye.

Today was the first day of my conference. Here is what I wore:

My new Donna Ricco black and gold brocade dress. I wore my velvet Talbott's belt.

On top, I wore my ivory/gold lurex blazer.

My Greenbeads by Emily and Ashley knot necklace was perfect !!

On my left arm, two gold bracelets, and my tiny infinity wedding band. On my right arm, two more gold bracelets, and my Nordstrom veiny boulder ring.

After the session was over, I went for a walk to get my exercise. I saw the ring all set up at the MGM Grand. Manny Pacquiao will be fighting there on April 9.

Doc has been sending me pix and videos of my sweet little Elli, to cheer me up and make me feel less homesick.

Most of them are of her eating or begging. She's still super cute.

Well, I will show you all what I bought while I was here in my next post. In the meantime, I will get ready for tomorrow and go to bed. See you all later!!!

It's A Good Friday

Not only in the religious sense, but today is my last day before I go to Las Vegas for a few days. Here is my parting shot at office wear:

This is a Studio G skirt, a Bebe top and an Ann Taylor sweater. The skirt is silk, and the flowers are embroidered and appliqued on.

I wore two amethyst necklaces, one short and one a little longer.

On my right arm, a diamond tennis bracelet, and a gold/diamond dust bracelet.

On my left arm, two more gold bracelets and my yellow gold wedding rings.

I finished the look off with my BCBG boots.
