Finally, Some Time Away from the Madness

It's Memorial Day weekend, and I have four glorious days off!! So let's recap what I wore last week:

On Monday, I went to the optometrist for new glasses. I got the Foxy by Swarovski in bronze. I really need them, and they are super cute, so I can't wait to get them.

I wore Global Chic by Iman brown stretch pants, with a copper satin tunic from ie. On top, a brown bolero with tonal beads from INC. I also wore an amber necklace and a Joan Rivers long rope with a faux amber pendant.

On Tuesday, I had to present at a big meeting, so out came this chic navy wool dress from Anne Klein.

It has a really nice side draping detail and a self belt with a brushed gold buckle.

Two necklaces - an enamel Faberge egg replica and my LV lock pendant.

On my left arm, my yellow gold wedding rings and a sapphire bracelet.

On my right arm, a London Blue Topaz ring and a diamond/sapphire bracelet.

On Wednesday, I went for comfort in slacks. Even though you can't see it here, they are navy blue pinstripw with black lace trim down the sides of the legs.

I wore a black sweater that has lurex shot through it.

And two necklaces - the sorter one is blue topaz and the longer one is blue topaz/moonstone. It has a matching ring, which I also wore.

On Thursday, more pants. This time, my burgundy tweed Mossimo pants. The flecks are hot pink. On top, a top from Style and Co that is silver metallic with a placed burgundy rose print.

I wore my Katy and Rosy jacket on top - the top part is knit, and the ruffles are chiffon.

I have been working on a needlepoint of Pandi. I finished it, and got this frame at Hobby Lobby on Friday. I love the quote from the Song of Solomon.

Here's a closeup of my needlepoint. It actually looks like her.

Today. we went down to South Coast Plaza to go shop a bit. i haven't been there since Memorial Day 2014. i only bought a couple of things. There weren't any new stores, but it was kind of disappointing that the Barnes and Noble was closed. I couldn't believe that a big mall like that can't support a bookstore. I guess no one reads any more.

I wore navy slinky knit pants from Antthony Designs and a Catherine Malandrino dolman sleeve top.

it has a surprise in the back - a lace yoke.

Here's a better look.

I wore two necklaces - a silver cable with an onyx pendant and a long silver herringbone chain.

Whe we got home, I made a spicy pork shoulder in the Crock Pot with mashed potatoes and onions and peppers. It was delicious.

Two more days with no work !!! Hallelujah!! Tomorrow, a run in the park. See you all soon !!

Another Long Week

Another one in the closed column!! We are still very short staffed at work. At least my bout of insomnia is over. Let's look at what happened last weekend and most of what I wore this week. Last weekend was Mother's Day. My mom has already passed away, but we did take my MIL Mimi to church and then brought over KFC for her and my FIL Win. That's their favorite. I also made her a bouquet of roses from the yard.

I love the orange ones, and as a bonus, they smell wonderful !!

For myself, I received two new pairs of sunglasses. The first pair are from Dior.

I love Dior glasses because the lenses are large. I don't like the fact that the cases are almost always white, and get worn and grimy easily. These are cool glasses, though.

The second pair are Salvatore Ferragamo. I have never had anything from this brand before.

They are really pretty, with crystals on the arms.

Onto what I wore this week, with the exception of Wednesday, when I forgot to take a picture. Starting on Monday:

This outfit is a pair of black slacks with sequin detailing at the waist. The top is a T shirt and warmup jacket combination from Onque. I always wear this combination together. I had a meeting to chair.

My necklace is costume and very old. It is from Avon.

On my left arm, two gold bracelets and my yellow gold wedding set.

On my right arm, an enamel/crystal ring from Saks and a costume bracelet from INC.

Onto Tuesday. We had a statewide disaster drill that day.

This dress is a pullover style. It's from MSK and I got it at Stein Mart.

It has peekaboo silver lattice on the sleeves. It's super comfy.

Although I forgot to take a picture, this is the necklace I wore. Here it is, worn on another day.

I forgot all about pictures on Wednesday. Here is what I wore yesterday.

This dress is from Taylor. It is a thick navy scuba knit with black elastic insets at the waist.

Even though this picture is dark, I wore a jacket that I have worn alot. It is a drak blue and black plaid, shot through with lurex.

I wore two necklaces - one lapis and one silver herringbone.

On my left arm, a diamond eternity band, a diamond tennis bracelet and a sapphire/diamond tennis bracelet.

On my right arm, an Italian silver bracelet, a sapphire/diamond ring, and my mom's diamond engagement ring.

Onto today.

This is a Style and Co chiffon blouse with metallic dots, and a pair of Georgiou slacks.

I wore three necklaces, all from INC. there is a short crystal one, and two longer strands.

And that is just about all, except for my Birchbox, which came on Wednesday.

Here's what was inside:

1) Hanalei Lip Treatment in Clear
2) Matrix Total Results Mega Sleek Shampoo and Conditioner
3) Comfort Zone Remedy Cream to Oil Ultra Gentle Cleanser
4) Nyakio Kenyan Coffee Face Polish

Well, I am looking forward to the weekend. I need some R and R. See you next week, I hope!!

Worn Out and What I Wore

Well, I have been dragged through the mud this week. I am having a bout of insomnia and I am covering for a bunch of people at work. We also had a big unexpected visit. Anyway, here I am, looking bad until May 11, when I finally got some sleep the night before.

On Monday, I wore my Mary McFadden tropical print sundress.

I wore my Ann Taylor classic black blazer on top. I wore a gob of turquoise jewelry, but I forgot to take a picture. But nothing is new, it's all stuff I wear regularly.

On Tuesday, another sundress and blazer combo. This time, the tropical print dress is from Halogen, and the blazer is from Worthington.

This swingy number is costume. I polished it up for the outing.

On my left arm, a gold/diamond watch and a black/white diamond ring.

On my right arm, a tiny diamond X ring, and a studded leather cuff.

On Wednesday, I had two big meetings to present at, so I wanted to look my best and most professional. I chose a vintage wool sheath dress for the occasion. I also wore dark hose and really nice shoes.

On top, I wore a dark grey longer length wool blazer from Astuces.

Yesterday, I opted for a girly look, as opposed to the somber look of the day before. This is a dress that I found in Macy's deeply discounted Last Chance Clearance Section. It was super inexpensive.

On top, I wore my black lace Bar III baseball style jacket.

I wore silver jewelry - a long herringbone chain and a blue topaz drop necklace.

Today, it suddenly turned cloudy and cool, so I got to wear some wintry clothes.

This is a Joseph A sweater - it's gold lurex with pearl trim around the neckline. The knit slacks are dusty blue and are from Express.

On top, an Alberto Makali abstract/animal print long waterfall cardigan.  It's so pretty and figure flattering.

I wore a necklace/earring set that I got in Charlotte at the Taste of Charlotte in 2016. It's wood beads, bone tubes, and a jasper pendant.

Finally, I got my Ipsy bag in the mail :

Here's what it contained:
1) Trestique matte blur stick
2) Air Repair Complexion Quenching Facial Mist
3) Adess Organic Nail Laquer
4) Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum
5) Sur Medic Poreless Carbonic Peel

And that's a wrap!!! See you all soon !!
