Work It Wednesday

Blrrrgghh. I took yesterday off to clear out the backyard for Jim the Painter. Here was the scene at the beginning:

Rent-A-Bin at the ready. It holds 1000 lbs of debris. Here it is at the end of the day:

And just what was in my half ton of crapola? Wood pallets, a rabbit cage, bricks, dead plants, and the old gate to the dog run. I like to have a lot of flowers around the house, but they do take some loving care. I repotted and deadheaded every one of them, in preparation for their placement once Jim has done his magic. I line the curved driveway with some of them.

The others will go on two long shelves that span the front of the house and the garage.

They are waiting patiently, all repotted and fertilized. So that took a full 9 hours. I was so physically exhausted. I rewarded my self with Loco Moco from the Hawaiian BBQ.

Oh H Yes!!! Rice, hamburger patties, brown gravy, fried eggs and macaroni salad. But after that, the kids still wanted to go for their walk, so I harnessed the boys up.

I walk them with a coupler, so they look like fat little sled dogs.

But enough toil and trouble. Looky what came in the mail !!!!

YAYAYAYAY!!! Guess what was inside ? My two presents from Doc, for Anniversary, and Birthday/Valentine's. For our anniversary,

An emerald claddagh pendant to go with the set that Doc got me in Ireland. Now I have a full emerald claddagh parure. For BD/VD, a platinum "D" set with white sapphires.

So what am I wearing to come back to work?

A very comfy outfit. The tweed dress says Forever on the tag. It's fully lined, so I wonder if it's from F21? It doesn't seem like they would spend the bucks to line anything. The turtleneck is by Boutique Essentials. The jumper dress has a big bow at the empire waist.

With it, I wore my matte gold and black cabochon necklace.

I only wore one arm of jewelry, since the sweater has long sleeves.

I went with a J Crew bracelet and my enamel/crystal ring. My shoes are presenting a bit of a problem. They are by Sam Edelman, and are very old. As a matter of fact, I haven't worn them for about five years - the last time was to a formal party. When I was walking across the parking lot, one of them had the sole come partly off. So I got my white glue and a rubber band and McGyvered them together.

They should be okay by 12:30, when I have my only meeting of the day. Onto the links!!! As always, www.happinessatmidlife.com with Alice for Throwback Thursday. I may have thrown my back out filling the Rent-A-Bin. :(. Also, since I missed it, www.thepleatedpoppy.com for What I Wore Wednesdays. Two of my favorite links!!! Well, have a good day, and I'll catch you later!!
