I Almost Look Like Someone Important

I wasn't able to post yet for yesterday and today. Yesterday, I went to a presentation from Franklin Covey, which is a company that provides a framework for making goals and meetings productive. I have gone to a couple of fundraisers at the venue, called the Center Club. It's in a city about 10 minutes from Huntington Beach, called Costa Mesa, and is adjacent to the Center for Performing Arts, our theater venue around here. Here are two pictures of the Center Club:

It was actually not that useful for me, since our hospital network already uses another system of this type. Anyway, here is what I wore:

This is a vintage grey wool sheath dress that has two cords around the waist. Both cords have silver bars. On top, I wore my favorite silver brocade Valerie Stevens coat:

I wore two necklaces - one short and one long.

The shorter one with the charms is from Cookie Lee, and the longer one is from Forever 21. It used to pop open, since it's a locket, so I glued it shut. I took the opportunity to wear my Nine West velvet striped Mary Janes one more time before I take them in to be reheeled.

                                                             On my right arm

Two silver bracelets, one with a blue topaz and one with sapphires. On my left arm,

A South Sea pearl ring and a bracelet of citrine, larimar, pearl and aurora borealis.

Then, we have today's outfit - not as late, but still late. Here it is:

This long soft chenille shawl was a gift from my mom. I think she got it from QVC, because she likes shopping there. The pants are from Express, and they have a cool detail that you can't see in the above picture.

They are navy on navy pinstripe, but they also have a fat band of black lace running down the sides.
When I took off the shawl, here's what was underneath:

My new St John satin blouse!!! It's really pretty on - it has a wonderful flow to it. I wore a necklace that hasn't gotten much lovin' even though I like it and it should match a lot of things.

And, one outtake for today. I guess my pigeon toed stance is not that rare, after all !!!!

Wonder why I am goosing myself?

Anyway, let's link for both days. First, Jess at www.elegantlydressedandstylish.com has Turning Heads Tuesday. Then, Tameka at www.pastriespumpsandpi.blogspot.com has Who's Wearing What Wednesday. Lindsey at www.thepleatedpoppy.com has What I Wore, and Liz at www.shoppingmycloset.com has Style Me Wednesday. And bringing up the rear, Laura at www.walkinginmemphisinhighheels.com has Trend Spin.

Well, have a good day, and I will try to get back on track for tomorrow!!!
