Getting Ready For the Bunny Hop

Easter is coming upon us quickly, so I had to scramble to get the grandkid's baskets ready. So Doc, my mom, Elli, and I went out and got the job done. Score : Rosie et al = 4, Murphy's law = 0.

Here's what we got. First for Preston:

We packaged his in a Cars trash can instead of a basket, because he just moved into a new house, and can use it to decorate his room. Inside, we put a magic trick, a chocolate/peanut butter bunny, some Reese's pieces in a carrot, a chicken that lays bubble gum eggs, 2 cans of PlayDoh, and some Goldfish crackers.

Onto Joseph and Benjamin. We always take care to give the two brothers EXACTLY the same thing. If you have little ones in your family, you will understand.

They each got a plastic bucket with sidewalk chalk, 2 cans of PlayDoh,  some bubbles, a monkey that squeaks, and some Goldfish. Their mama prefers that they don't have too much candy, and there are lots of Easter themed little toys out there for that situation. For little Calista,

A pink bucket with bubbles, a chick that moves, a chick sippy cup and some Goldfish. Everything is packed and ready to go next Sunday.

I also picked up a couple of things for myself while Easter shopping. I got replacement dumbbells.

Mine were so old - I had taped the handle part because it cracked, but the sand still leaked out a bit. I don't think they weighed 5 pounds anymore, so I got new ones when I saw them. I also got a dress off the clearance rack.

It's navy blue and yellow. It's polyester knit and I'm sure it will make an appearance one day soon, when I am too lazy to iron.

On Saturday, I went running, and the neighborhood was having a garage sale. I picked up one piece of that colorful Italian pottery from one of my neighbors.

I put it on the kitchen counter, along with another biscotti jar, and a dog treat jar.

And there you have it. So onto the most exciting part of my post - What am I wearing???

A teal blue dress that I got in Palm Springs a long time ago, along with a patchwork suede jacket that came from Stein Mart.  Here's the dress, made by Alex, without the jacket.

And here's the jacket, without the dress.

Since the dress is solid, I chose to accessorize it with a necklace from Nordstrom.

Crazy doohickeys hanging from a silver tone cable. On my left hand,

A bracelet of larimar, citrine, freshwater pearls, and aurora borealis, along with a wedding set. On my right hand,

Three silver bracelets and a tanzanite ring. I had originally wanted to wear black shoes, but then I spied these Jessica Simpson gladiator sandals on my shoe rack, and threw caution to the wind.

They seem to go better with this blue outfit. So there you have it, except for the links. First, Sheila at www.sheilaephemera.blogspot.com is hosting Shoe Shine Saturday. Even though it's Monday, I'm sure that Sheila will let me play :). Then, Cherie at www.stylenudge.com is hosting Shoe and Tell - more shoes !!!!  We all love shoes!!!. Lastly, Rachelle at www.pinksole.com is hosting How I Spring. So I'm gonna spring in there!!! Have a great Monday, everyone!!!
