An Historical Event

This has happened only once before in my many years on the planet - I got flowers both at work and at home. Doc brought these home for me:

Maybe he read my blog post from the other day and saw that women like "no reason" flowers. Or some kid was selling them :). Either, way, I am still happy.

Also last night, Nathan gave me a couple of samples of two of the new items he had made and is selling in his online shop. He carries a few utility knives and survival equipment pieces. Here is the latest:

It's a utility knife with a locking blade. But there's more.

The silver tube on the bottom is a high powered flashlight. And on the opposite end,

A screwdriver with four different heads. This baby will be going in my car. The other new product is a credit card knife called the Cutit.

This is the size of a credit card. The Holtzman gorilla is his logo. When you unfold it and snap down the yellow parts, it makes a handle.

This is not a heavy duty knife. It's more like something I would use to open a letter or package, or to pry something apart.

Enough of the blades!!! What am I wearing?

This is a polyester knit skirt from Dress Barn and a black dolman sleeve top from Bell de Jour. There's a surprise in the back.

All Venice lace. So I wore a cobalt blue tank underneath it so the color peeks through. This gave me the perfect opportunity to wear my Christian Siriano flats.

I went with a gob of sapphire jewelry again today. First, a short necklace that looks like the tail if a comet.

Then, my long gold chain with a sapphire pendant - I wear this a lot.

On my right hand, I have some sapphire bracelets and a London Blue topaz ring.

On my left, my wedding set and a sapphire bangle with a little heart shaped hinge.

I am very comfy. So let's do some linking!!! First, Alice at www.happinessatmidlife.com has Throwback Thursday. Then, Tara at www.mixmatchfashion.com has Summer Style. We are having a heat wave here, and some wild fires up in the local mountains - that's summer in SoCal. Lastly, Nicole from Alaska at www.highlatitudestyle.com has Top of The World Style. Check it out!!

Remember my grandson Preston graduated from kindergarten a couple of weeks ago? Here is the official portrait.

Luke and Ashley say that they hope this won't be his last graduation .I'm sure that he will at least graduate from grade school. (heehee). Have a great day!!!
