Rub A Dub Dub, Two Dogs In a Tub

Well, I have been MIA for a couple of days. The Silver Fox (my Caddy CTS) has been misbehaving. I was driving along on Friday night, when all of a sudden, the GPS voice came on, and said "Your engine is overheating, please stop the engine immediately." So I did. It turns out that my water pump took a dump. So he was in intensive care for a day, and was released late Saturday afternoon. Luckily, the Caddy has a nice warranty, because the bill for the pump and the thermostat was $1127. But Cadillac covers it. #whew. Then we went to a 60th birthday party that night and I took a bunch of pictures, but they are all blurry. Hey, they looked okay when I was taking them - although I must admit that I had a couple of Jello shots. #fail

On Sunday, I decided to wash my dogs. Even Elli got smelly. I did Kenni first. Here he is, trying to hide while giving me major side eye.
But I persisted, and after quite a bit of MinPin wrangling, he was spotless and shiny. Dr Lizardo recommends that he be bathed twice a week, for a month. Then I went after Elli. She is so much easier - she fits in the sink.

She gets special soap called KetoChlor - it has antibacterial and antifungal agents in it. But it has to stay on for 5 minutes. So while she is incubating, I scrub her back. She loves it.

The last picture is purely for laughs - here she is, just prior to drying.

My little friends deserved a post bathing feast - they got kibble, canned wet food, and canned tuna. Yummers. We have a stash of emergency earthquake food, but we have to replace it every year, so we eat the old stuff. The tuna is from last year's stash.

Enough about them. Onto ME. What am I wearing? This skirt is by Kimchi and Blue. It has a matching swing style jacket that I sometimes wear with it. The tshirts are just a couple of things I pulled from my casual shirt drawer.

But what about the jewels? You have already seen the arm junk. On my left, my larimar bracelet, and a wide tanzanite band. On my right, my amethyst and opal ring, and two silver bracelets.

I think the necklaces have not yet been featured. The shorter one is blue topaz, and the longer one has garnet, topaz and amethyst. I layered them. You can also see the bugle bead trim on the Tshirt, and the braid on the cami underneath.

I went more casual today. Yesterday, I gave an Infectious Disease lecture to the new graduate nursing students, so I got all dolled up and professional with a blue suit outfit by Escada, but I didn't have time for pix. But now for the kicker - my shoes. I am late to the party, but I am still joining www.sheila-ephemera.blogspot for Sheila's Shoe Shine Saturday. I am going to feature the shoes I chose for my casual look. They are my Old Navy black espie wedges. This may be one of their last appearances, because the elastic on the buckles is disintegrating. But here they are, anyway.
So hop on over and take a peek. Sheila's Kermit shoes are something else!!! Love.
