Angels in the Sky

Well, I missed my usual Friday post. We had a two day work event, and since we had to wear jeans and a company logo T shirt, I have no outfits to show you. But I'll tell you a couple of things.

First of all, I ordered a sofa from Wayfair on September 9. They took my money and I have not heard from them or received my sofa. So I called on the 21st, and after 34 minutes on hold, they told me that someone would be calling back in a day or two. No such luck. After I got home on Thursday, I called them. It was now 9/28. After 1 hour and 22 minutes on hold, the customer service representative told me she would be researching my problem and would be calling me back the next day. No such luck. But I wisely asked for her name and extension. So I called her back.

CSR : This has never happened to any of our customers ever before.
ME : So that's why there are so many people calling that the hold time was 1 hour and 22 minutes.

CSR : I have deemed your sofa as lost.
ME: I heard the FBI is hiring. With those mad deductive skills, you should apply.

CSR : We are sending out a new one. It will be there by October 25.
ME : The delighted man in your commercials just snaps his fingers and his dining room set appears.
You did not call me back, like you PROMISED you would.

CSR: We were busy.
ME : Because no one ever has problems with their order but me? Or because there were donuts at the  office?

CSR: I take full responsibility. I want to earn your trust.
ME: You already blew it.

CSR: I promise I will call you on Monday with an update.
ME: If you don't , then I will call you and I will be even more irritated with  you.

So, we will see if I ever get my sofa. Probably not. Or maybe I will get two of them. I can tell you that I will be writing to this billion dollar company and will never buy anything from them again. It's supposed to be 2 day free shipping. 2 month free shipping is how it's going to end up.
DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM WAYFAIR. THEY ARE AWFUL.

So, after that, I went running in HB Central Park to try and shake off the bad mood.

The calm surroundings and the beautiful birds did the trick.

Also, Breitling is having an airshow here in Huntington Beach , and the Blue Angels have been rehearsing all week.

Check out the loop and the contrails. The picture below is four jets flying wing to wing.

This is hard to see - it's all four jets doing a death dive together. They are very loud.

Doc's herb garden is growing quickly. Last night, I made some bouquets. I needed to thin the bushes out a bit.

This is English lavender, rosemary, oregano,  and basil.

I tied them together with a ribbon and hung one from each bed post, so that when we are laying down, we can smell the lovely aroma.

For dinner, I made smoked sausage on hash browns, with sauteed onions and peppers. There is shredded cheese and sour cream on the top.
I served it with homemade sweet and sour red cabbage.

And that's all. The Wayfair problem is really bothering me. It doesn't help that they show a commercial every five minutes.

Tomorrow night, I am going to see Benise in Spanish Nights at the Cerritos Center for Performing Arts. My friend and I are wearing Spanish inspired costumes. So I will finally have something to show you. Until then, I will link this post anyway, so my blogger friends may get a hit or two.
