Living Aloha in the Garden of Good and Evil

This weekend saw the 10th Annual Pacific Islander Festival in HB Central Park:

As I was on my weekly run, I spied the dancers rehearsing their moves, and getting their costumes ready.

After I was through with my run, I got Doc from the library and we watched while he had a bowl of Loco Moco.

Flag bearers with honu.

And a little muay thai action as well !!

Here is the Pacific Islander Band. The guy on the far right was also the vocalist.

As you can see, the crowd was pretty big. The parking lots were full, but as a resident of HB, I knew where the secret parking lots were.

Each of the easy ups had food from a different island - Hawaii, Tonga, Samoa, Marshall Islands, the Marianas, etc.

Doc wanted to try his hand at growing fresh herbs. Here we have parsley, oregano and basil.

Here we have sage, peppermint and thyme. If you add me to the mix, we do indeed have "Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme". Simon and Garfunkel.

That was the Garden of Good. Now for the Evil. Me in my Bee Costume.

You have all seen this exact outfit a number of times. The jacket and T are from Oneque. I already had the matching sequin-waisted pants in my vast cave of a closet.

Here's a closer view. The sequins are clear, so the color beneath them shows through.

My ancient necklace from Avon matches perfectly.

On my left arm, my CDC and my yellow gold wedding set.

On my right arm, a crystal/enamel ring from Saks and a leather cuff with tiny studs.

I also got my Ipsy bag last week, It's solid black with bumps.

Here's what was inside:

1) eva nyc Zero Gravity Volume Powder
2) PRMIT Beauty Gellusion Vegan nail polish in Capricorn
3) Neogen Germology Rose Flower Cleansing Water
4) Ciate Wonderwand Mascara in Black Magic
5) Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer in Radiance

So you have seen good, evil, and beautiful. Now for an overdose of cute !!!

Pandi in the sombrero and serape that Luke, Ashley and Preston gave her.

She is a natural at expressing her rich cultural heritage. A Keebler fudge striped shortbread doesn't hurt either.
