Look For The Silver Lining !!!!

In this case, you won't have to look far. I'm kinda silver all over. It's also payday, so that means I will have a little silver in my pocket (at least until I pay all my bills, grrr). So what is causing all this glittery twinkling? Let's see !!!

The pants are the Express Editors that I got at the Assistance League sale last weekend. So now, I think you have seen everything I got (hmmm, maybe that means I need to buy more - uh, Nope, girl, take a look at your bills again). The top is Style and Company from Macy's. I like their knit tops, because they are always comfy and usually have a nice twist, like GLITTER. But, just in case this isn't shiny enough for you, check out these shoes:

Now that's shiny. I have had these shoes for a long time. I don't wear them too often, so they have lasted. They are surprisingly comfy. The brand name was inside, but my sweaty feet have rubbed it off. Check out the necklaces:

The longer one is better seen in the full body shot. I got it at a mall in Fresno, when I was visiting Doc during the locum tenens days. It's plastic, but it's cool, and it matches the print on the top perfectly. The shorter one is also costume, and I don't remember where I got it. I have a similar one in goldtone, so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I got them at the same time. Onto the right hand.

The ring is also costume, and also an unknown purchase. But it matches perfectly!!! The bracelets are real silver, and I picked the one with the open rings in order to carry on with the circular theme I have going here. On my left hand,

I got this bracelet at a church charity sale, one of those things where the church is trying to raise money for a good cause. The rings are old, and will probably be retired soon, since once again, we have crystals falling out. But it is more circles!!!

That's about it for me today. But I know you want to start the weekend with a picture of Elli. We are always teasing her. We tell her that she looks like a gargoyle, or a bat. Judge for yourself.

The resmeblance is downright eerie !!!!

And Now, the Big Reveal - Shoe Shine and What I Wore to Work

So, remember the shoes I showed you the other day? Just in case you forgot, here are my lovely Italian Leopoldo Giordano shoes:

Before I get to the whole body shot, I will recap my accessories. I learned this trick from TV - keep stringing them along until the last 5 minutes of the show, then .......REVEAL. So, let's look at my left hand first.

I love this bracelet. I got it at a store up on Melrose called Maya. I have had it a long time. It cost about $30, but it looks like it cost much more. The stones are very sparkly in real life. The rings are both marcasite, and the middle finger one has pave sapphires also. Onto my right hand:

The ring is my fire opal. I think you have seen it before. I can wear it on either hand. The bracelet is one that my mom got me for my 40th birthday. The stones are garnet and opal. My birthstone is garnet and Doc's is opal. I used the same stones for my wedding band. I don't know the name of the brand, but my mom used to be a big QVC shopper, and this bracelet was purchased from them. My necklace was also a QVC number, also bought for me by my mom, and also a birthday gift (I think 45th, but I'm not entirely sure about that). It's garnet as well, and I love it. The chain is a delicate triple strand.

Now for the moment you have all been waiting for. What did I wear with the LG shoes? Thar she blows!!!

The top is the one I got at the Assistance League sale last weekend. I love it. It's soft, and drapey, and very comfy. Comfort is a huge deal with me. If I have to continually adjust or wriggle, then whatever item is causing me dismay immediately gets tossed into the donate pile. As a matter of fact, I had a different skirt picked out, but it was tight, so I pulled it off, cussed a little, and put this one on. This one is made by Lily Cheung. I got it at a sample sale up in downtown LA in the garment district a long time ago. I don't know if you can see, but there are tiny crystals down the sides and around the front pockets. It's an elegant extra detail. The belt is an Indian style, black pony hair with red beading. Here's a closeup:

And just for kicks, a look at the crystals. This involved propping up my gut area and thrusting my left hip out to the side. Luckily, the hip went back into place after the shot. Unluckily, so did the gut.

And for a last little har de har, I'll bet these guys loved the belt.
