Casserole, goulash, migas, muscos, or chop suey?

That's what it's called when you open the fridge, take out all the leftovers, put them in a crock pot, and stir it up for dinner. So that's what I made last night - mine had steak, potatoes, artichokes, mixed vegetables, corkscrew pasta, spinach, portobello mushrooms, Maggi and steak sauce. And it was the bomb (in a good way). So I brought some for lunch today, along with what has to be the county fair record holding biggest peach. And one of my coworkers brought these for dessert.
Each one is approximately the size of my head. Doc and I walked the Ratpin yesterday, and when we close to home, we saw a note on a tree that said "Found- Foot and Ankle Surgery Book." It wasn't ours, so we figured it may belong to our next door neighbors, who are both podiatrists. I wanted to leave the note on their car, but Doc said that was rude, and to knock on the door. So I did, and out ran their German Shepherd Dog, Caesar. He ended up tussling with Kenni, and Kenni sustained a small nip to the driver's side rear buttock. He wasn't hurt, but man, did that upset him. He is used to being Big King Poop around the house. But this morning, he was all frisky again, having forgotten that Caesar wiped the floor with him.

When we finally got our injured warrior to the door, a box was waiting for me. Oh H Yes !!! I opened it gleefully. Here is a clue.

Yes, the Queen of glittery excess, Joan Boyce. And since I am the Principessa of Excess, this is what I got.

Suede wedge boots with crisscross straps covered in flat nailheads. OOH AAH. The kicker was the color - I actually DID NOT have eggplant suede boots.

One of these days I will stop taking pictures in the bathroom. But the light is so bright in there that I persist for now. Well, it's too warm to wear the fabulous boots, but I did resurrect a cute and comfy look for today.

This mesh dress is by a brand called Sweet Pea. They sold alot of it at Nordstrom a few years back. All their pieces are double layered mesh, never wrinkle, and are super comfy. It has bat wing sleeves.

These will be useful when I need to hide my bat wing arms in the future. On top, I wore a knit waterfall vest of unknown origin and vintage. It has an ivory lace back. The knit is all slubby in texture.

I liked the combo, but it was pretty voluminous, so I used one of my favorite belts to rein it in. It's brown leather and elastic, and made by Fossil. This picture makes my waist look like it's about 4 inches wide. It is, at least until I scarf some cupcakes.

My necklace was a Christmas gift from an employee a while back. It's by Liz Claiborne, and coordinates perfectly with the colors of the dress.

On my bat wings, all stuff you have seen before - on the left, a mixed metal bracelet from Truckee, California, and a costume ring. On the right, an amber ring and the copper Indian souvenir bracelet that I have had since teenager-hood.

I had quite the debate with myself over which shoes to wear. These were the contenders.

The brown espies won by a nose. They actually look perfect with the overall vibe of the outfit.
Today, I am linking twice - double trouble or double the fun, however you look at it. First, there is www.stylelixir.com for Style Sessions, which I do every Tuesday, and then www.walkinginmemphisinhighheels.com for Trend Spin. Those two links oughta keep you busy !!!

Tonight, I have my first tennis class of the fall. I have not yet decided which of my darling little outfits I will be sporting. But you can bet that I will be showing you tomorrow!!!
