Finally, Some Time Away from the Madness

It's Memorial Day weekend, and I have four glorious days off!! So let's recap what I wore last week:

On Monday, I went to the optometrist for new glasses. I got the Foxy by Swarovski in bronze. I really need them, and they are super cute, so I can't wait to get them.

I wore Global Chic by Iman brown stretch pants, with a copper satin tunic from ie. On top, a brown bolero with tonal beads from INC. I also wore an amber necklace and a Joan Rivers long rope with a faux amber pendant.

On Tuesday, I had to present at a big meeting, so out came this chic navy wool dress from Anne Klein.

It has a really nice side draping detail and a self belt with a brushed gold buckle.

Two necklaces - an enamel Faberge egg replica and my LV lock pendant.

On my left arm, my yellow gold wedding rings and a sapphire bracelet.

On my right arm, a London Blue Topaz ring and a diamond/sapphire bracelet.

On Wednesday, I went for comfort in slacks. Even though you can't see it here, they are navy blue pinstripw with black lace trim down the sides of the legs.

I wore a black sweater that has lurex shot through it.

And two necklaces - the sorter one is blue topaz and the longer one is blue topaz/moonstone. It has a matching ring, which I also wore.

On Thursday, more pants. This time, my burgundy tweed Mossimo pants. The flecks are hot pink. On top, a top from Style and Co that is silver metallic with a placed burgundy rose print.

I wore my Katy and Rosy jacket on top - the top part is knit, and the ruffles are chiffon.

I have been working on a needlepoint of Pandi. I finished it, and got this frame at Hobby Lobby on Friday. I love the quote from the Song of Solomon.

Here's a closeup of my needlepoint. It actually looks like her.

Today. we went down to South Coast Plaza to go shop a bit. i haven't been there since Memorial Day 2014. i only bought a couple of things. There weren't any new stores, but it was kind of disappointing that the Barnes and Noble was closed. I couldn't believe that a big mall like that can't support a bookstore. I guess no one reads any more.

I wore navy slinky knit pants from Antthony Designs and a Catherine Malandrino dolman sleeve top.

it has a surprise in the back - a lace yoke.

Here's a better look.

I wore two necklaces - a silver cable with an onyx pendant and a long silver herringbone chain.

Whe we got home, I made a spicy pork shoulder in the Crock Pot with mashed potatoes and onions and peppers. It was delicious.

Two more days with no work !!! Hallelujah!! Tomorrow, a run in the park. See you all soon !!
