Happy Birthday Doc

Today is Doc's birthday. He is very high maintenance. He wanted to go to Subway for lunch and get a tuna sandwich. I usually tell him that he smells like a cat afterwards, but since it's his day I will refrain. I am making brownies for him right now.

Yesterday, the grandkids came over and we had the haunted bookcase for them. They wanted it again this year.

All three of them left with bags of books and toys that were bigger than they are. They texted us last night and said that loved it and can't wait for next year.

So let's take a look ar what I wore this week. On Monday, I wore .a knit shift dress from eci.

On top, a tailored jacket by Savile Row and on my feet, lavender Sam Edelman shoes.

On Tuesday, I wore a dress that I bought in Washington DC a few years ago. Unbelievably, the brand is called Jealous Tomato. That fact is made up for by the nice thick knit.

On top, a twill military style jacket from H&M.

My necklace is freshwater pearl and smoky crystal, and I got it at the Taste of Charlotte in NC a few years back.

On Wednesday, I wore a tan knit dress from Theory. On top, a sort sleeve pinstriped wool jacket from Byer. The fringy scarf is a souvenir from Truckee, California, when I went skiing in Reno a while ago. This outfit gives me the opportunity to wear my leopard fabric booties.

On Thursday, I wore my new athleisure style slacks from Gucci. I saw an incredibly chic lady on the train wearing the slacks and a matching jacket, so I copied her idea a bit.

I wore them with a white knit tank and a red cashmere zip front sweater from Neiman Marcus. That was a big mistake, since it was 78 degrees out on Thursday. I was dying.

At least I looked good while dying. I wore a gold herringbone necklace and an interchangeable drop pendant from Joan Rivers. Both were my mom's.

Here is the stripe down the side of the slacks. They have zippers at the ankles. My only gripe is that the elasticized waist is somewhat low, and I wish it was at my natural waist. Otherwise, they are perfect.

On Friday I wore a mishmash of forgotten pieces. The skirt is Peck and Peck from Stein Mart, the cardigan is Frenchie from Nordstrom, and the embroidered tank is INC.

The cardigan has embellishment on the left shoulder.  It is little red and white flowers with beads.

The skirt has a bunch of rows of grosgrain ribbon around it.

My bridal veil lilies are blooming again. They are so pretty, but they don't last too long.

And now that we have reviewed the wardrobe, let's do some linking:
