Check and Checkmate!!

Today's outfit is all about some subtle pattern mixing. I kept everything in the same color family, black and ivory. That's a pretty simple and no brainer combo.

The blazer is by Kasper, and it's black with ivory pinstripes. The stripes have a nice sheen to them.

It's a very classic style. The skirt is by Gucci. It has the horse bit as a tiny embellishment on a thin leather strip near the top. It has no waistband.

Underneath, I have an ivory T shirt that has cap sleeves made of pleather. I doubled up on the necklaces. I only had the short one on at first, but that looked too boring, so I added the Joan Rivers convertible pearl strand.

My shoes are new- I got them at the Nordstrom after Christmas clearance. They are a brand that I never heard of - Di De. They were not expensive at all. They are made of a faux leather with a gold chain detail that makes up the T strap.

I am carrying my Baby Phat purse - I am determined to use it more this year.
The animal print adds a cool touch to what is otherwise a very conservative outfit, since I had a meeting this morning. Likewise, I kept my jewelry pretty classic. On my left hand, my wedding set and a stretch crystal bracelet from Saks.

On my right hand, a white enamel/crystal ring, also from Saks, and a gold/diamond dust bangle.

Today, I am linking up with Amber at www.induffinitely.blogspot.com. Today, she is holding Tremendous Tuesday, as usual, but today she is focusing on professional attire. I definitely fit that bill today. Have a great day, and I'll see you tomorrow!!!
