Well, it's mostly cleared out this morning. I hope my lawn and plants enjoyed themselves. Yesterday afternoon, I got a phone call. This is how exciting my life is - the call was from the library. My books are overdue. So on the way home, I dropped two of them off, and renewed the third one. I was fined $3.75. Here is the circular driveway that leads up to the beautiful Huntington Beach Public Library.
See the silver sedan? There was an elderly lady in it, and she was more or less stuck behind the SUV and couldn't figure out how to get out. So the poor thing was moving back and forth like in the Austin Powers movie. Finally, the SUV left and she got away. The library is very eco-conscious - they have huge solar panels covering the parking lot, and the landscaping has all been converted to drought resistant native plants.
Inside, the library is 3 stories tall. In the center, there is a big fountain. They have a lot of plays, author visits, and other activities like genealogy seminars.
So onto my outfit. It's all very old.
My knit pants are by Express, the crinkly blouse is from Stein Mart, and the sweater is by Uniform by John Paul Richard. It came from a store called Robinson May, and they have been out of business for years. Here's another look.
My lumpy pedometer is less obvious in this picture. With a getup this elaborate, very little jewelry is needed. The only pieces I have on are earrings and a necklace.
It's my weird lapis necklace and the matching earrings. Also, I forgot to tell you guys something momentous. I went to Target last week because I ran out of dry dog food. Of course, like every other woman out there, I always take a spin around the Clearance section. Guess what I found??
Grey and silver Sam and Libby booties!!! Remember, I already have the black and gold ones.
