Huntington Beach High School - Look Out ! Here He Comes!

Our grandson Preston graduated from Agnes Dwyer Middle School on June 23rd. That was one of the first sunny days around Huntington Beach, and it has gotten progressively hotter since then. So much for my complaining about the gloom.

I wore some Rampage printed slacks with a chiffon top from Guess.

Here is my DIL Ashley, walking us to our seats at Dwyer Middle School.

Mimi, Ashley and I posed by the sign. I wore a wide brimmed black hat to protect my face from the sun.

Here is the whole group - me, Mimi, Doc, Luke, and Ashley.

This is the setup of the stage. The kids came out in alphabetical order.

Here comes Preston!

The lady in black is the principal. Each graduate posed with her for a photo.

Here are the three of us.

Preston's official portrait was taken on Palm Avenue, the street on which the school is located. It's so picturesque and so Huntington Beach!

Preston got several honors -Presidential Award for Academic Excellence, Principal's Distinguished Honor Roll, and National Junior Honor Society.

Look at the beautiful feather cloud!! Notice the two weird things on the left- UFOs?

The next day, I went for a run in Central Park. The library was having a Book Fair.

The cormorants had a huge nest built in one of the trees.

Pandi is very comfy as we watch TV. We are watching Midsomer Murders and have 22 seasons to view.

On June 27th, I wore a striped skirt from Celine, along with a cold shoulder top from Saks Fifth Avenue Black.

On June 28th, I wore black Ponte slacks from Express, along with a scarf print top from Max Studio. I wore a lot of silver and amethyst jewelry with it. This is one of the tops that i got at the Salvation Army sale.

On June 29th, I wore a slinky knit top and pant outfit, topped with a lurex accented cardigan from Susan Graver. I wore a Joan Rivers statement necklace and a navy and gold belt as my accessories.

On June 30th, I wore the red eyelet sundress from Ann Taylor that I got at the Salvation Army sale.

Then I was off for several days for the Fourth of July. We hosted a pool party at our house. We had Kim, Nathan and the kids from Arizona. Mimi and Win also came, as did Jack, Pandi and Vinni. We got Subway sandwiches and made root beer floats. Everyone had a lot of fun.

Back to work on July 6th- I wore an eyelet knit dress from Worthington. I used black accessories - Target shoes and a black Louis Vuitton bag. Lots of pearl jewelry completed the look.

On Friday July 7th, I wore some white slacks from Express, along with a pretty yellow print blouse from Forever 21. My gold mesh necklace from Avon was the perfect accent.

Then I was off for four days, and back to work on Tuesday, July 11th. I wore peach slacks from Chaps with a peach printed swing top from Worthington. I wore rose gold jewelry with it.

Another Worthington outfit on July 12th. This ivory dress is so classy. it's also very comfortable. I wore pastel Austrian crystals and peridot jewelry with it.

On July 13th, I wore a comfy outfit appropriate for the scorching heat. These grey knit jeans are from Iman Global Chic. I always wanted to try them, but they were a bit pricy at about $99. So when I saw them at the Salvation Army sale, I grabbed them. I was concerned that they might be too small, but when I put them on, they were perfect. They are also flattering and comfy, just like Iman said they would be. The tank top is from Old Navy, but I melted it when I ironed it, so into the trash it will go. You can see where I taped the holes together. This top has a bad memory associated with it anyway. I wore it to a lecture in Orlando and when I asked the lecturer a question about measles after the session, she acted like I was the stupidest creature that ever lived. So demeaning.

We are going to pick up our new glasses today. I got Tiffany frames, and I am so excited. I am wearing Old Navy leggings and a top from Rose and Olive that has a crepe layer with a chiffon layer underneath. I got the costume necklace in Kansas City.

My Ipsy bag came. It had five items, from top to bottom:

1) Laying Sideways -Seraphine Botanicals Liquid Coal Waterproof Liquid Liner - I will give this to my DIL Ashley.

2) Hear Me Raw Detoxifier with Charcoal Purifying Rub-Off Mask

3) Grown Alchemist Anti-Pollution Primer

4) Keys Soulcare Golden Cleanser

5) Toy Factory Niablend Serum Concealer

Here are my beautiful new Tiffany glasses with the crystals on the sides!!! Love them!!

So that's about it for now - Jacki continues to grow rapidly and learn new things. She has stopped biting and nipping at my arms and now wants kisses. She is so cute and I am so happy that I got her.
