My She Shed By the Sea Shore

I have been awaiting this for months!! Back in March, I ordered a shed from Tuff Shed. The process is very easy. You design the shed using their online tool, then send a picture of the area with measurements to the company. The final step is to go to the showroom to pick colors and design details in person.

Here is the finished product:

It comes as a kit that the crew put together in five hours.

It was hot that day, so I kept them well hydrated withe water and gatorade. I also gave them a lot of snacks. There were two guys and they ate and drank everything.

This is the chosen site. It's on the left side of the yard. There was a lot of damaged concrete there, so the shed covered that. I had the window and the door face the pool.

First, they level the site and put down the foundation.

Then the walls go up.

There are transom windows on the side facing our house.

Next, the roof.

Then the window goes in.

After that, the door. I had originally chosen an all-white door, but the salesman said that a black door with white trim and black hardware, plus a black window box would look nicer, and he was right.

Then they touch up all the paint and add the window box.

All done. Here are some views so you can see how it looks in the yard.

The inside is raw wood and metal. I don't mind the rustic look, but the metal had printing on it, so I painted the lower panels white.

I added flowers.

Vinni helped every step of the way.

I ordered this heavy duty clothes rack from EBay. It's nice.

I had the rug and my MIL Mimi gave me the white cabinets.

These two 9 cube organizers are from WalMart.

My MIL gave me this Victorian doll.

I have been growing this pothos plant for months. The basket holds the two magazine subscriptions I get - Taste of Home and Better Homes and Gardens.

I got 12 gray cube baskets from EBay. So there are 6 cubes left open.

I put my favorite books on top. I got the Eiffel Tower bookends at Savers.

I got these metal pots at the Dollar Tree. My MIL has two spider plants for me to put in there.

I ordered this custom sign from Chico Creek signs - they are on EBay and Etsy.

All finished!! Then I moved a ton of clothes from a closet so that Doc could have the whole thing.

The white baskets and the blue basket are from Hobby Lobby. Luckily, they had a 50% off all storage just when I needed it.

Now all that's left is to wallpaper the inside of the door and get a lounge chair.

So let's see what else I have been doing and wearing. On June 19th, we went over to Win and Mimi's for Father's Day and took Gong's Chinese food. I wore a wrap dress from Pretty Little Thing and sandals that I got in Indianapolis.

Here are the accessories.

For my first day back to work, I wore a Dress from H&M. I got a lot of compliments. It's butter yellow.

On June 21st, Doc had a treadmill test. It came out fine. I wore old ponte slacks from Express and a top from INC with heavy embroidery.

The extras.

Way back on June 22, I wore a very old summer dress that is reversible.

I wore lots of turquoise jewelry with it.

On June 23rd, another old summer dress. Everyone liked this one as well.

On June 24th, I was off, but went to a good-bye party for our CNO, who is taking another job with the administrative office. This white dress is from Worthington.

This pearl heart belonged to my mom.

A swallowtail butterfly lay dying on our back steps. Doc brought him inside for his final day so he couldn't eaten. I have memorialized him.

On June 25th, our eight-year-old granddaughter Calista was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I wore this black and white lace dress from CeCe.

On Sunday June 26th, we had a belated thirteenth birthday party for our grandson Preston. He's a teenager now!!

I wore this silk embroidered dress that I got in one of our gift shops near the beach.

Here's a look at the beaded bib.

Preston wore his pointy hat on top of his ball cap.

He got the famous Tuxedo cake from Costco.

Grand Master P also made the Principal's Distinguished Honor Roll and the National Junior Honor Society.

Here he is with me and Mimi,

And with Win and Mimi.

And with me and Doc.

Back to work on June 26th. I wore this pretty orange dress from Halogen with an embellished bolero from Dana Buchman.

The extras - all black.

On June 27th, I wore Merona slacks with a floral swing top. My white boots were from the shoe guy at the swap meet.

The extras.

On this very sad day, I learned that a good friend of mine had terminal cancer. She died within a week.

Pandi looks Asian.

On June 28th, a ribbon skirt from Ann Taylor and a crushed velvet top from Cha Cha Vente.

The extras - rose gold today.

An infinity onion ring.

The Fourth of July was a noon-event. I painted the shed and we stayed home so the dogs would be calm with all the fireworks around here. We usually go to our friends Steve and Tam for a party, but they moved at the end of June and so could not host this year.

On Tuesday, I wore this chiffon midi skirt with a metallic embellished sweater from Chico's.

On Wednesday July 6th, another tried and true dress from Taylor. It's a tribal print in mesh.

The extras.

On Thursday July 7th, I wore a very pretty outfit in pale gold. The skirt is St John, and the blouse is Equipment. It's their best-selling safari shirt. Both came from Neiman Marcus.

I don't get to wear these gold brocade slipper mules much. so I busted them out.

And finally, yesterday, July 8th, a pair of cargo joggers that I got at Savers and a printed T shirt from Mossimo.

The extras.

I got my Ipsy bag, Inside, from top to bottom:

1) Hydro Milk Base Adherante primer

2) Half Caked Mirror Mirror Highlighter in Fortune Faded

3) Complex Culture Bronzer in Just Right

4) KVOSSNYC Lip Potion

5) Bad Habit Wake Things Up Matcha and Mint Daily Cleanser

So that's about it for now. I will keep you updated on the She Shed progress and everything else that is going on. Stay tuned!!!
