I Got Some Duds, and none of them are Duds

Remember in old Western movies, where they called clothes "duds". Nowadays, a dud is a real bomb. This weekend, I broke my shopping ban, but I had a good reason. Doc got a $100 Ted Baker golf shirt from a patient, and he doesn't golf. I had a $100 Visa gift card. The shirt came from Nordstrom, so we exchanged it at the Rack. We are going to a wedding this Saturday, and Doc's one pair of dress slacks was a wee bit too snug. He has pretty much worn only scrubs for the last decade. So we got him a nice new button down shirt and two pairs of dress slacks. Here is what I got for my dough :

This is a dress by MSK. It has peekaboo sleeves that have silver metallic strips, and an elastic blouson waist.

I don't remember the brand of this dress. It's a pretty pink garden rose print.

It has scalloped edges on the sleeves and hem, but they are unfinished.

Then I got this long T shirt in the jammies section. It's very soft.

It has little plaid hearts on the elbows. It's tunic length.

Then I got a longer length crushed velour cold shoulder T shit from Chacha Vente.

The sleeves tie at the ends.

My favorite purchase was this jacket from Kate and Rosy. It was marked down a lot.

The double layer hem is chiffon.

So let's see how some of this stuff looks on an old bag:

Here's the floral dress. Plenty of room in size small and very lightweight. It also didn't wrinkle at all.

The Kate and Rosy jacket looked fab on top.

My rose gold necklaces seemed like a perfect match.

On my left arm, a leather cuff, and an amethyst ring that Doc gave me years ago.

On my right arm, a multi-gem cocktail ring that was my mom's, and a costume stretchy bracelet from  INC.

My $11 suede booties from my last trip to the Rack were also a perfect match.

Here's the velour T shirt. It's a nice length, as you can see.

My skirt is old - Laundry from Shelli Seagal.

I wore the longer rose gold necklace again, but this time with a shorter costume rose gold necklace with giant pewter tone crystals. I added a vintage gold tone chain belt.

On my left arm, my yellow gold wedding rings, and the matching stretchy INC bangle to the one I wore the day before.

On  my right arm, a costume ring from H&M, and a gold/coral bracelet from Maui Divers in Honolulu.

Yesterday, back to some older duds. This is a dress that I got many years ago at Macy's. The shoulder ties give it a forties feel, although I feel like the style may be a bit too youthful for me.

I wore my red leather id Sport jacket on top - that made it a bit more sophisticated.

Three necklaces - garnet, garnet/diamond, and multi-gemstone.

Today, more oldies but goodies. I have always loved this outfit.

The lace printed slacks are from INC.

The bell sleeve top with lace sleeves is Bisou Bisou.

My black plastic waterfall necklace continues to be a winner year in and year out.

And that's about it !! Today, we are having a plantation shutter and new closet doors installed. Doc is supervising the project. It took the vendor FOREVER to get the shutter, so I really hope that it is worth the wait. I'll let you know.
