Ay Mamacita !!!

I hope you all had a nice Mother's Day. We celebrated on Saturday. It was very low key - my MIL, Mimi, wanted Kentucky Fried Chicken, so that's what we got for everyone. The kids hardly paid attention to anything or anyone, because Pandi came along. When I picked Pandi up from the vet after her spaying, I was told that she had been a mother, probably twice.

Speaking of Pandi, Doc noticed that she is a little too tiny to easily jump from the floor up on the bed. So for her Mother's Day gift:

A nice big trunk from Hobby Lobby. It now sits at the foot of our bed and little Miss Pan can easily get up and down. And we can store things inside like blankets and magazines.

On the actual holiday, we just stayed home. We took the boy dogs for a long walk, since they didn't get to attend the party on Saturday. I spent the afternoon sprucing up the front yard. Joseph and I replanted all the flowers about a month ago, so it was due to be trimmed.

This is the side of the garage. There is a shelf that runs below the window and a planter beneath that.

The planter is filled with geraniums. They are doing well.

The shelf has three pots - one is a yellow flower, the center one is a succulent, and on the right is a fuchsia. The fuchsia was nearly dead a month ago, but now is flourishing.

The front clump by the driveway likewise needed some trimming and TLC, but you can see that it is doing pretty well, too.

And the sides of the front porch are filled with colorful flowers and varieties of succulents.

One new addition - two of these pretty orange lilies - one in the clump and one on the left front porch.

So today, it's back to work for me. We are in a very busy time of the year, and we also have that cyber attack to deal with and complicate things. This is what I wore:

This sheath style dress is a vintage number from Uno. The skirt and sleeves are eyelet. This picture illustrates that a bit better.

On top, an equally ancient baseball/bomber style jacket from Judy Knapp. I used to wear this jacket all the time in the 80s, with a black jumpsuit underneath.

Since the jacket has so many colors and the dress has no color, any type of gemstone will work.
I quadrupled up - amethyst, gold herringbone, blue topaz, and faux emerald.

On my left arm, two gold/diamond dust bracelets, and a multicolored gem cocktail ring.

On my right arm, two multicolored gemstone bracelets, and a peridot ring.

And that's about it for today !!!

  1. Love that versatile black dress! And your Pandi story - we keep a little step next to the bed for our old kitty to get up with. Gotta love those babies, old and young. xox
