Easter Sunday and Fun Day

Saturday was my grand daughter Calista's Third birthday. Of course, it was a princess theme. I assembled a chest of treasures for her:

The required fuzzy pink crown.

Two books - Bedtime Stories and Hans Christian Andersen.

A slew of girly DVDs.

And a floral treasure chest to keep her treasures in.

I put it all together and tied it up in cellophane wrap with a bow.

The party was held at Russell Paris Park. It has picnic pagodas and two playgrounds.

Lunch was simple - ham and cheese croissants and purple cupcakes.

Calista was all dressed up in her princess finery.

Her gift ended up being almost as big as she is.

She had some help blowing out the candles on her cupcake.

The other guest of honor was none other than........... Pandi !!!!

She spent time with everyone. Doc held her while the kids ate their lunch.

Here are Benjy, Calista, and Joseph with Miss Pan. They were sad to hear about Elli, but they understood that she was very very old, and very very sick.  And now Pandi has a forever home with us !!

The two princesses together. Pandi was exhausted after the extreme amount of attention, but she was so sweet and docile with everyone.  She is an awesome dog, and I am so lucky to have found her.

Here is what the Queen wore for the shindig:

This is a satin top from Anthropologie. It has a beaded band at the empire waist. I wore plain brown yoga pants and a brown cami underneath. And of course, a matching sunhat - gotta protect that Botoxed face of mine!!!

My freshwater pearl and crystal necklace from the Taste of Charlotte looked great with this outfit.

After all the other little kids left, we gave our grandkids their Easter baskets.

We started with plastic beach totes filled with books, puzzles and toys.

Then we sweetened the pot. We filled plastic eggs with quarters.

Here is Calista's - mostly pink !!

Benjamin, Joseph and Preston got blue.

Pandi heard all the commotion and was just a blur as she sped from her crate to check it out.

Pandi approved !!!

So  now it's back to work. Here is what I wore:

This is a black and tan Loft pencil skirt. On top, a black satin top from AGB.

Over that, a tan ruffled cardi from Style and Co.

I wore my costume leopard head pendant.

On my right arm, my Hermes CDC and a black/white diamond ring.

On my left arm, a seed bead cuff from the Chakra Shack in Laguna Beach, and a costume ring from INC.

And that's about all the shenanigans for today, so let's link!!!
