Weekend Wrap Up

It was a busy weekend around the ranch. I had zero interest in Mayweather vs Pacquiao. I figured that Mayweather would wipe the floor with Manny, kind of similar to the way Kenni annihilates Vinni. And that's what happened. Snore.

But, there was another sporting event that I was highly anticipating. Clippers versus Spurs Game 7. I told Elli to get her jersey on and get ready. Unfortunately, this is what ensued:

Noooooo!!! So she tried again.

Ugh. I gave up and let her wear what she wanted. (She cheered for the Clips in Japanese). And how about those Clippers!!! They scored a jaw dropping victory against the Spurs. Now they move on to the next round. Chris Paul scored the winning basket, leaving one second left for the Spurs to try and force overtime. They lost by one point.

My reaction was the same. Afterwards, there was a group hug. Not me and Elli, but CP3 and Blake.

I wish I could squeeze in there. Onto the next round. Much cheering for my Clippers will ensue, beginning tonight.

Anyway, on Saturday, we found ourselves back at Curry and Kabob House for Indian buffet.

More goat curry!!!! Also, all those other yummy goodies you see here. Then we went to get gifts for our mothers for Mother's Day. My mom wanted some Memory Foam Skechers, but with a closed heel. So we went to the Skechers outlet and got these.

Aren't they cute!! They have little crystals on the woven vamp. Then we went to Hobby Lobby for my MIL. We wanted to get her something with a religious theme, because that's how she rolls. We got her a dry erase bulletin board so she can keep track of her engagements.

You can write the dates of the week (like May 1-7) along the top.

We also got her a large ink pad and a stamp that has the Lord's Prayer on it, so she can make her own stationery.

We also got a towel hook for the jungle bathroom. It is an elephant head.

On Sunday, there was much yard cleaning in the morning. After that ordeal, I was more than ready for this:

Free Birds World Burrito!!!! Here is the menu. You pick your item (burrito, bowl, salad) and your meat (chicken, pork, steak) and then have them add stuff.

I got a Freedom Salad with steak.

It had tomatillo dressing. Yum. So now it's back to work, boo. Here is what I wore:

My swirly houndstooth dress from Nordstrom. this time, I wore a black cardi with red lurex flames on the sleeves on top, since it's overcast here today.

I stuck with the wide red satin ribbon belt (the same as the last time I wore this dress).

I wore my diamond and platinum "D" necklace that Doc got me for our anniversary.

On my right arm, my red stone bracelet from Maya on Melrose, and a fire opal band.

On my left, a wedding set and three silver bracelets.

And of course, shoes from my favorite designer, my Calvin Klein pilgrim shoes.

So that about wraps it up. Let's link. First, Cherie at www.stylenudge.com is having Shoe and Tell.  Then, beautiful Patti at www.notdeadyetstyle.com is having Visible Monday. I have missed the last couple of her linkups, but not today!!! Then, two of my Monday regulars - Rhea at www.rheaetcetera.com is having Style to Inspire, and Rachelle from www.pinksole.com is having How I Spring. If I haven't worn you out yet, hop over and share some love with my web friends!!!!
