Actually, they are andouille sausages. Doc thought they sounded good, and Stater Brothers didn't have Irish bangers. I also made potato pancakes and grilled onions. But the cooking didn't stop there:
I also made another loaf of date bread. I made sugar icing and then sprinkled cinnamon on top.
Yesterday, we wanted to do something different for a change, so we drove down to the Balboa peninsula. It is technically a part of southern Newport Beach.
Here I am !!! It was raining pretty hard, so that accounts for my stiff posture. I was wearing my usual yoga pants and visor combo, this time with an embroidered sweat suit jacket.
Looking to the north, we have Fashion Island and Hoag Hospital in the distance.
A little closer....
And just a little closer ....
To the south, Corona Del Mar. The further peninsula is Laguna Beach.
No one was boating out in the channel. I'm sure that the bad weather was to blame for that, also.
There is some construction going on. Some of the houses here are so enormous, that it is hard to tell whether this is a private home, a hotel, or a business.
See what I mean? These are houses and townhomes.
The channel has filled up quite a bit since the rains started this year. We are planning to go back when the sun is shining.
Back to work today. What did I wear?
These are classic black slacks by Tracy Evans, an ABS scarf print top and a satin swing jacket by Fire LA.
Here's a better look at the silky print.
Once again, I wore my mom's Joan Rivers hand me down statement necklace.
On my right arm, my Hermes CDC and an emerald / diamond ring.
On my left arm, my yellow gold wedding rings, an amethyst tennis bracelet, and a green crystal tennis bracelet.
Before the latest squalls hit, I was able to go for a nice run in HB Central Park on Saturday. I visited with my sweet little Egyptian goose family.
They are thriving. They are also sweet and friendly.
Also, we have a plant that was given to us as a gift a few years ago, and because of all the gloomy weather, she has been drooping a bit. She is a Money Tree, which is a tropical plant. I have been moving her all over the house to capture what sunlight we are getting, and she does seem happier. I also got her a full spectrum UV light source.
See Elli standing next to her tray, wondering why she is not getting all of my attention?
Well, that allowed me to get a good picture of her sweet pleading "Feed Me" face. Note that her dry crunchies are plentiful. She just wants more of the Salmon and Sweet Potato gushy food. But she only gets that twice a day, because it's not that good for her.
