I have a whole backlog of outfits to show you. I decided to focus my last post on our trip to Boston, so this one will catch up with my clothing choices and the general shenanigans around Casa de Holtzman.
We have an intruder!! This giant mushroom lives in our front yard. I am letting him grow to see just how big he will become. He was over 9 inches wide on September 25th.
Luckily, my bridal veil lilies are close by to provide some beauty.
On September 26th, I wore this vintage lightweight wool shift style dress. It has the attached silver and cord belt. On top, I wore a long tweed jacket from Willi Wear by Willi Smith.
On the 27th, I wore one of my favorite Eliza J dresses. I always wear the exact same Swarovski crystal jewelry and my blue Ivanka Trump shoes.
On September 28th, I wore a long suit jacket from Karen Scott, a tweed and lurex top from Nine West and lightweight wool slacks from Tahari.
I wore some costume jewelry with this outfit.
Later that day, I saw this gorgeous green grasshopper in my flowers.
Much later that evening, Pandi and Vinni posed for their portrait.
On September 29th, I wore an old dress by Speechless. It was a little cold and rainy, so I wore black tights and black suede boots. Some costume jewelry completed the outfit.
On my walk on October 2nd, the flock of green parrots followed me around the neighborhood. I love them. They are building a memory care unit on that lot, so I hope they preserve the trees that the parrots roost in.
It was still a little gloomy on October 3rd, so I wore navy slacks from Nordstrom and a tunic from Gucci.
On October 4th, I wore an old suit from Worthington that may have come back in style. It has a shorter blazer and gaucho pants. I wore it with suede boots. Still fits and looks pretty good. Note the suitcases behind me.
That same day, Pandi and I made Halloween baskets for the grandkids. The Arizona contingent is coming out this weekend for Mimi's birthday, so we will see all four grandkids.
Pandi surveys the loot.
Four baskets all completed!!
The weather turned warm again on October 5th, so I wore one of my favorite summer dresses from Bar III. I got it in Fort Lauderdale. I met some Israeli ladies in Hollywood, Florida, and we went shopping and to happy hour together.
Our housekeeper came on October 8th, so Jacki and I took a long mother-daughter walk. She is so beautiful!!!
She did get scared of a few of the Halloween decorations. She attacked.
On Sunday, we went to a joint party - for Halloween and for Mimi's 90th birthday. The kids opened their baskets that Pandi and I made.
Then there was a pumpkin carving game.
Calista made a cat. She had a cat on her sweater.
The whole gang!!
We took our pumpkin home and put it on the porch. It looks great!!!
When we returned from Boston, both my Birchbox and my Ipsy bag were waiting.

4) Luna Magic Powder Highliter in Tulum
5) Rena Rebelde Blush in Rosa- used this right away, as I needed a new blush.
The Birchbox, left to right:

2) Dermatologist's Choice pH Balanced Cleanser
3) Korres Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser
4) Benefit Boing Cakeless Concealer
5) Milk Makeup 2-in-1 cream blush and lip tint
Back to work on October 19th. I wore an autumn themed dress from Liz Claiborne. I got it at JC Penney and it was something like $8. My Escada belt and assorted jewelry completed the look.
On October 20th, I wore one of my favorite Calvin Klein dresses. The Ivanka Trump shoes make another appearance. I rounded out the look with turquoise and silver jewelry. Note the unpacked suitcase in the background.
October 22nd saw some fun with my pets.
October 23rd was spent re-planting my front porch a little. While we were gone, we had a heat wave and a couple of my flowers wilted and needed to be cut way back, so I got some mums to take their places for a bit. I also got some ornamental kale - I have never had it before, so we'll see how it does at my house.
Dead dog is now in the center of the flowers.
On October 24th, I wore a very old vintage silk skirt from Contempo Casuals (70s anyone!) with its matching sweater from Merona. For fun, I wore brick red tights and my newer tan suede ankle boots.
I wore a Max Mara leather jacket on top.
On October 25th, another vintage silk skirt, this time paired with a polyester satin tunic top from H&M. I wore a teal blue satin Cami underneath.
On October 26th, I wore grey knit jeans from Iman Global Chic, a lurex duster from JM Collection and a black turtleneck. I got a Hermes pashmina in Boston, so I also wore that. I put this outfit together purposefully to try out the pashmina. Perfect size and weight.
Saturday, October 28th was Doc's 66th birthday. The kids got chew sticks and we got Fish and Chips. These are from Union Jack in Fountain Valley, and they are by far the best FNC we have ever had, even in Boston and London.
On Sunday, October 29th, Jacki's boyfriend Peanut came over to play for a couple of hours. Ah, young love !!!
The porch got a rat with bat wings in honor of Halloween.
Yesterday, we took Jacki to the dog park for the first time. There were only a couple of dogs there. Jacki had fun anyway.
Back to work today. I wore jacquard slacks from Fendi, a lurex print top from Alyx, and a moleskin jacket from Lena Gabrielle. The centerpiece as far as jewelry goes was my Eric Bloodaxe Silver coin that Doc got me last Christmas.
It was Halloween. We got 5 trick or treaters. Last year, we had none, so this was a 500% better turnout!!
On November 1st, I wore an outfit that I haven't worn in 30 years. I'm not kidding. It is a canvas suit from Daisy Fuentes. It has bronze flat nail head trim. It has no stretch whatsoever, and that is probably why I seldom wore it. It was snug, but it looked great. The blouse was a vintage chiffon animal print, and the waist detail hid the tightness of the pants. But being mostly cotton, they loosened way up in a few hours.
On November 2nd, we had a validation survey with the California Department of Public Health. They come out to verify what we report to them. I wanted to wear something comfy for this all-day event. I wore the viral knit pants set.
As you can see, it was around $38. It comes in a million colors. I saw it on an Instagrammer that I follow. She was wearing a small, and she is very petite, both in height and size. So, I got a medium, and it fits me perfectly. So, if you get one, size up. I may get another color eventually.
That's about all for now - Jackie went on her first run with me this morning. She turned 6 months old yesterday. She loved it !! I now have a running partner.
Peanut is out there playing with her right now. They adore each other. Pics to follow.
Have a great day and stay tuned for more fun!!
