This is a black sheath dress with spaghetti straps and a tiny ruffle at the hem. It is not comfy, and I have a bunch of black dresses, so it is going into the donate bag after it is laundered. On top, a Joseph A crew neck leopard print sweater.
I wore my fabulous Avon mesh bib necklace.
And a belt from White House Black Market in Las Vegas.
On my right arm,my Swarovski Nirvana in Black Diamond and my Hermes CDC.
On my left arm, a seed bead cuff from the Chakra Shack in Laguna Beach and my yellow gold wedding set.
Then onto today. And the title of this post will explain the crappy pictures that follow.
This is a Liz Claiborne cardigan that has a space dyed stripe, worn with a turtleneck and the skirt from my Nipon Boutique suit. You will be able to see the cardi in a minute. Take a peek at what I am standing in front of - the second dresser !!! More below.
I enlarged the picture so you could see the sweater a little bit better.
And an old belt from the 80s - it's soft leather with a gold tone clasp.
I wore my mom's Joan Rivers necklace with this getup.
On my right arm, a fun faux pearl ring and a two tone gold bracelet.
On my right arm, a tanzanite ring and two amethyst bracelets.
Now for the dresser reveal!!! Nathan did a great job refinishing them. Here is the before:
It doesn't look so bad from the front while it is all decorated and covered, but there was a big crack in the side
and the finish was pretty bad and scratched and scraped in spots. They are 60 years old.
Because of the weather, it took Nathan about a week to completely strip them, sand them and refinish them.
I soaked the brass hardware in TarnX for an hour and then put it back on.
You saw the first one the other day:
Here is the companion. They look almost brand new. I liked the original hardware because it keeps the look more authentic. Great job, Nathan!!!
