This knit top with the cascading ruffle on one side is from Romeo and Juliet Couture. The eyelet skirt is Bandolino. Here's a closeup of the fabric - it's pale yellow with pink embroidery.
Three necklaces again today - the shortest one is amethyst, the middle one is silver herringbone, and the longest one is a silver rope with a tiny band of gold running through it. The silver filigree locket reverses to turquoise.
On my right arm, a mabe pearl ring and a moonstone bracelet.
On my left arm, a mother of pearl ring, an amethyst tennis bracelet, and the bracelet that matches the silver rope necklace.
So Wednesday and Sunday are my days to rest - no working out, just walking a bit. Doc was home when I got home, so we went to the library. We are collecting all the state commemorative quarters for Preston for Christmas. Doc looked in the Used Book Store section of the library, and found this:
It's a coin album for quarters !!! It was $1, but there was a California quarter already in there, so it comes out to 75 cents.
It has spots for each state.
It tells about why they chose the theme for each state inside.
So I got out the quarters I have been saving, and I am only missing Iowa, Maine, and Pennsylvania. I will probably get those from EBay.
Then Doc got hungry and wanted to stop at Habit Burgers for a grilled tuna steak sandwich and fries. Their food is really good, but since it's made to order, it takes a few minutes. While he was waiting, I went next door, because....................there is a new thrift shop in Huntington Beach!!!.
It is the Outlet for Working Wardrobes. This is a program that gives underprivileged women new suits for job interviews and new jobs. I have donated some of my old suits to them. Well, they also have this consignment shop, and they had three big racks with items for $5 each. I got two things:
The first item is brocade slacks by Loft. They are red on red.
They are the slim style with a side zip. I am envisioning lots of winter/holiday outfits.
The second item is a wool Jones New York dress. It looks to be vintage, although I was looking at a similar dress from Catherine Malandrino at Neiman Marcus. It was NOT $5, unlike this beauty.
It's a good charity and has been around forever, at least here in SoCal.
I will leave you with Wednesday's flowers - sunflowers !!!
