I gave you two shots of my gloriousness :). The pants are vintage, made by a brand called Odds and Evens. From reading other blogs, I learned that you can look at the label and tell what year an item was manufactured. These pants were made in 1970!!! Here's a look at the detail at the waist. No belt needed.
This hot pink sweater was made by Liz Claiborne. It has silver embroidery and clear crystals, and rhinestone buttons. Here's another look at that.
The chiffon top underneath has a tiny ruffle around the high neck and cutaway shoulders. IT came from the collaboration that Liberty of London did with Target, several years ago. Not only is there no need for a belt, but there is no need for a necklace, either. On my right arm,
I have a silver and crystal costume bracelet and a mother of pearl ring. On my left arm,
A wedding set and an opal/garnet bracelet that my mom gave me for my fortieth birthday. I am wearing my grey Nine West ankle strap shoes.
Time for some links!!! Lovely Alice at www.happinessatmidlife.com has Throwback Thursday, and I would say that 1970 pants are indeed a throwback. Then, Nicole from Alaska at www.highlatitudestyle.com is hosting Top of the World Style. Last, Tara from www.mixmatchfashion.com has Summer Style. Lucky girl is off for summer break, since she is a teacher.
One last little somber note, requesting prayers and happy thoughts for a dear friend of the family. He was in a bad car accident on Tuesday morning. He somehow ran his truck off the freeway into a tree. At first, it was unsure that he would make it, but now it looks as though he will survive. At any rate, it will be a long tough road for a nice young man who has been a good friend to Luke. All good wishes are welcome and appreciated. Doc and I may go visit him this weekend.
