This is a Saks Fifth Avenue Black dress, worn with Isaac Mizrahi shoes.
I wore two necklaces - the shorter one is amethyst, and the longer one is a heart shaped diamond pendant. Both are hanging from gold chains. Both were from my mom's estate.
On my right arm, a garnet ring, and an amethyst tennis bracelet.
On my left arm, my Swarovksi Trema ring, and two gold bracelets.
This morning, the local Catholic church, St Vincent de Paul, had their annual rummage sale. Last year's sale was so slim in the pickens that I had a hard time finding a couple of things to buy. I try to support any reasonable fund raising endeavors. Anyway, this year, it was great !!! First, I headed back to the Boutique area, where the higher end items are. I found two treasures:
A gorgeous white woven ottoman blazer from St John. It had the coolest gold tone details:
There were metal tips on the pocket edges.
They were also on the lapel tips, and the zipper pull was heavy and ornate. The closest jacket I could find on their website retails for $1795. I paid $40.
Then, I found a heavy weight jersey dress by White House Black Market. It has tiers that are connected with fine faggoting, a square neckline, and a flounce at the hem.
The closest dress I could find on thier website was $160, and I paid $5.75.
Then I went into the main hall. I got a couple of Tony Horton workout tapes. I also got several items of clothing. I haven't gone on a major shop for a couple of months, because I was helping with my mom. Anyway, this is what I found:. I paid $10.75 for all this stuff. I have the website prices next to the description.
This is a Damon and Drapers jacket of heavy weight jersey with buttons on both sides, so that it is reversible. Most of their jackets of this type of fabric cost about $80.
This next top is 100% silk, and has a Casual Corner label. They were around in the 70s and 80s.
This next top is by Serena Williams. I believe she markets through Home Shopping Network.
It's a very heavy weight jersey and it has tiny nailhead detail. On the website, it retails for $70.
Then I found a purple and black brocade skirt. It is fully lined. I would estimate it to be of about Banana Republic quality. I am guessing that the retail price would be similar, so $100.
Speaking of Banana Republic, I found this 100% cotton crew neck sweater. A similar one on their website costs around $68.
I found another Banana Republic cardigan, this time embellished with lace bands.
It seems like the similar ones on their website cost $128.
And finally, a cardigan from Charter Club, a Macy's brand. They retail for $39.99.
So after the rummage sale, I went for a run through Huntington Beach Central Park. I saw my new Egyptian Goose flock. The top picture is from May 22, and the bottom one from today, June 25.
They are getting so big!!! Now we have at least 8 of them in the park.
Last weekend, Annie kept stealing Elli's bowl and running around with it in her mouth. So we got her one of her own, only in a bigger size more appropriate for a German Shepherd Dog.
And that's all!!!
Have a great weekend, and I'll see you all on Monday!!!
