Dream a Little Dream of Me

I have been busy for the last week or so, but today I have a chance to tell you all what I have been up to. On Friday, March 29, my MIL Mimi and I went to see a production show that was put on by the LDS church. It was actually pretty good - my favorite numbers were the tap dancing to a contemporary country song "Dream" and a skit done to the Passion Pit song "Sleepyhead". In that number, the kids wore pajamas and Nightcaps and did a dance with pillows. Here are some pictures from the show:

There was a pretty big crowd, as you can see. Nathan and Kim and the 3 grandkids were all there, too.

We started out sitting right up front, but it was too loud, so we moved to the back.

In this number, the ladies danced the Charleston.

In the picture below, some kids did Disney movie solos. The boy who did the Lion King was really entertaining.

The overall theme was kind of steampunk - 1800s or so costumes.

This number was performed by all the men, and they had a little fight at the sasparilla bar.

In this number, a whole bunch of the kids sang "Everything is Awesome."

They do the production every couple of years. It was a nice night .

So what have I been wearing for the last week?

On April 1,

I wore some ivory slacks by Ann Taylor and a chiffon peasant blouse that I got at the Irvine Macy's when it went out of business a couple of years ago.

The blouse has metallic dots all over it. I was leaving them in various places in my car and my office. I wore the three INC necklaces that I got in Orlando a while ago.

On Tuesday, 4/2, I wore a knit skirt from Loft and one of my favorite sweaters by Barandi. This sweater was given to me by my boss that got murdered in February. I just realized it when I put it on.

He gave me another one as well. I am glad that I still have them - it's not much, but at least I have something to remember him by. I wore my black coral necklace with this outfit.

On April 3, it was raining once again. I started with a burgundy velour turtleneck and some pinstriped pants from Express. They are navy with a burgundy stripe, and have black lace down the sides of the legs.

On top, I added a waterfall cardigan, also from Macy's a few years back.

This weekend was bright and sunny, and it's expected to be close to 80 degrees today, even here at the beach. It will get colder as the week progresses. So I took the opportunity to wear a sundress from Bar III that I got in Fort Lauderdale.

I always wear this bright blue tank underneath so that the lace shows through. My lapis necklace is self made.

I have also been cooking up a storm on the weekends. Last weekend, I made lamb chops with mustard sauce.

This weekend, I made tacos.

I did a bit of shopping this weekend. For the dogs, I got some rib bones and some rawhide treats. Pandi just grabs hers and then hoards it somewhere in the house.

Remember a couple of weeks ago, when Doc got me this set of Agatha Christie books?

Well, he found another set, this time in red leather with gold embossing.

I also got a couple of new plants. First, I got a succulent in a llama shaped planter.

I also got a kalanchoe to replace my very dead orchid.

I went to Hobby Lobby to get a frame for the portrait of Kenni that I drew. I will show you when it is all framed. Even though I did NOT need them, these hares were too cute to pass up.

Pandi liked them.

They are now with all my other bunny tchotchkes in the garden window.

Speaking of gardens, I made a couple of arrangements. All the flowers came from the front yard.

The coral roses went in my bathroom.

The African daises ended up on the antique sewing machine.

So that's about all for now. I will see you all later. Maybe something interesting will happen, but don't hold your breath!!!
