Clipper Nation Scores Again!!!

So far, a lot of activity this weekend.  At about 10:30 Friday morning, Villa Valencia (where my mom lives) called and said that my mom had shortness of breath. I had to go take her to be seen, or let them call 911. So I went and got her and took her to the doctor. She has asthmatic bronchitis. She got an antibiotic, an albuterol inhaler and some cough syrup. I called her today and she feels much better.

Last night was Hair Color Beauty Night. Here is my hair before:

Not horrible, but not great either. So I bought this product that I love. I don't use it every time I color my hair because it's very time consuming. But I love the results when I am not too lazy to use it.

I get number 64. It's called Cinnamon Sugar and it makes my base hair deep auburn and my stripes coppery. I wished it lasted - I have never had luck holding red into my hair. After 3 weeks, it fades back to blonde. First, you apply the base color for 25 minutes. Then you condition and rinse. Here is my head at that point of this process.

Then you apply the highlighter mixture for another 25 minutes. Then you rinse again. The two steps is what makes me really lazy. And then when I do it, I am mad at myself for being so lazy because it looks beautiful. So here I am, with the stripes of highlights.

So how did it turn out? Sucn a totally bitchin' color. Love . It. Here's a closeup of the bangs area.

Here's the back after:

Also, last night, I bought myself a present . When I was in Ralph's buying groceries, I got a little balloon cactus.

I put it into an AKC mug of the Chihuahua that I got at Home Goods when I was looking for a bathroom rug.

When I got up today, this is what I saw outside:

Pouring the rain into the pool!!! Oh well. We need rain. But Kenni and Vinni didn't agree. They wanted in. They ended up moving their blanket under the covered patio and snuggling up together. They' re besties for sure now.Vinni makes Kenni happy and he doesn't cry for Jackpot anymore.

Note the Clipper bowl.

Yesterday, I went to the Clipper Game. We played the Dallas Mavericks, who are a pretty good team. We killed them - we left with one minute and twenty seconds left to go and we were leading 120 to 98. One of the referees had a heart attack in the second period. I hope he's okay, and maybe it was just something less horrible. I had a Skyscraper Dog - that's a foot long hotdog. It was delicious - I haven't had a hot dog in a long time. Since it was raining, I wore my Levi's jeans and a black leather jacket. I also wore a black T shirt and a grey leopard cardigan by INC.

It has trim around the neckline made of varying sizes of pearls. The only jewelry I wore was my monogram pendant and silver Claddagh hoops. I wore a black belt with silver trim.

I wore black boots to keep my feet dry while walking in from the parking lot at Staples Center up in Los Angeles. We left at the usual time, but due to the downpour and the resulting traffic, we got there just in time for the game to start.

It was still raining when I got home, so we couldn't walk the dogs. Then we just watched two movies - The Last Exorcism II (boring) and Identity Thief (hilarious). Then I just went to sleep.

Today, I got up at 8, and it's still raining. The forecast predicted a chance of showers, but we have gotten 2 inches so far. That's pretty significant. I'm glad that I got the roof done while we were still in a drought. We were going to go to a Mexican restaurant with my mom today, but then she got sick, so we will reschedule for next weekend, if my face doesn't hurt too much. Maybe we will go to the indoor mall today so we can at least walk around a little bit. We'll see.
Well, we didn't go to the mall to walk. Instead, we went grocery shopping, and by the time we got home, the rain had stopped, so we took Kenni, Vinni and Elli for a walk. Then we watched Sleepy Hollow (the Johnny Depp movie) on TV. Our grandson called to tell us that he got a new German Shepherd puppy - he named her Annie. I think it should be Anni, so she can join the "i" club.

Speaking of the i's, they were not happy at being put back in the yard after their walk. They proceeded to shred their comforter. How that hurts me is beyond my comprehension.
Here they are, snuggling up in their shredded blanket. I still have one or two more old blankets in the garage that they can have.

So onto today. It's not raining, but it is very foggy. So I bundled up to make the 7 minute trek to work.

Whenever I wear a not so alluring outfit such as this, one of my friends says that his grandmother donated something similar to the Yeshiva Rummage Sale. Okay. It's better underneath. Voila.

My jacket is Karen Scott and my skirt is Pendleton. I wear this outfit once every five years, no holds barred. Here's a closeup of the jacket - it's boiled wool, with a faux fur collar and frog closures.
My midi skirt is plaid - green and blue. So I am wearing a navy velour turtleneck and a green belt.

I am wearing two necklaces today, and obviously one is green and one is blue. The green one is my long faux emerald pendant.

The shorter one is the lapis number that I got in Coronado. Remember, I broke the delicate chain it came on. I didn't have another chain thin enough to fit through the bail, so I had to add a bigger bail. I did that this weekend.

I continued the crazy matchiness with my arms. On the left, an emerald and diamond ring and three elasticized Austrian crystal bracelets.

On the right, a sapphire and diamond ring, a sapphire bracelet, and a small diamond tennis bracelet.

I wore the same black boots that I wore to the Clipper game, since they were still laying on my office floor at home.

Well, since it's Monday, I am once again linking with Patti at www.notdeadyetstyle.com for Visible Monday. She's giving away a dress today, so if you haven't ever visited her blog, now is the time!!!
