But here is what I wore over the past week:
On Monday, I wore some new white trousers. I had a pair and wore them to death, but could never find a replacement. I got these at the Gap. They are perfect, except that they were a 2L, so I had to cut about 6 inches off the hem, and then re-hem them. A small price to pay for a great fit that will last a while. I wore the last pair for 10 years.
On top, a silver/white lurex tank and the thrift shop find of the century !!! I got this Harve Bernard blazer in Beverly Hills a loooong time ago. It is wool gabardine and has this lacing detail on both shoulders, and all the way up the back. So so cool.
I broke out a gob of silver and blue topaz jewelry. The stretchy bracelet is costume.
Here's a closer look at the blue topaz and diamond rings.
On Tuesday, I had a big presentation to deliver - Calvin Klein to the rescue !!!
This beautiful cerulean dress has a pleat detail at the shoulder, accented by a silver tone bar.
Different sterling and gemstone jewels for the day .
On my right arm, a tanzanite band and a crystal bracelet that my MIL got at a rummage sale.
Wednesday brought another corporate meeting. I wore a polyester shift dress from Petite Sophisticate with an Ann Taylor sweater on top.
This pretty sweater has this crochet detail at the neckline and the ends of the bracelet length sleeves.
Purple Austrian crystals were a good choice to tie together the burgundy and black of the outfit.
Purple crystals plus a gold herring bone necklace.
More Austrian crystals!! On the left, wedding rings and a double strand bracelet. On the right, two single strands and a very unique garnet/citrine X ring.
Finally, Friday !!! I wore the coolest vintage dress ever, by Robbie Bee. It is all tiny crystal pleats, with a faux wrap front. It has every color in the rainbow.
Here's a better look.
Three necklaces - emerald/diamond, amethyst, faux emerald.
On my left arm, an amethyst ring, an amethyst tennis bracelet, and a multi gem bracelet.
On my right arm, an emerald/diamond ring, a peridot bracelet, and another multi gem bracelet.
I made Irish stew for lunch. I googled "the best Irish stew with pork. " It was delicious.
I served it on a bed of mashed potatoes (made with real butter) and topped it with a blob of sour cream. It had celery, carrots and brussels sprouts.
And finally- I went for my long run on Saturday, and my new neighbor was having a garage sale. So I got three cute items, plus two pyrex baking dishes for $5.
A nice nautical dress from Charming Charlie.
Another nice low care dress with an off brand label, but very cute never the less.
And some easy fit pull on pants from H&M, with one of my favorite color combos - brown and turquoise!!
