On the way to work, I heard the most wonderful news on the radio. Scientists have developed a vaccine for the Ebola virus. So far, they have given it to 7600 residents of Guinea. It has shown to be 100% effective, with few side effects. The study was published in Lancet. I am thrilled. Lives will be saved. Yay for science!!!!
So let's get to some important stuff- what am I wearing?
This is a pale blue or mint blouse made by Liz Claiborne. It has tiny silver studs all over it, and a band collar.
My ivory slacks are made by Smarty Pants. I chose this blouse so that I could sport my new purse that I got at the fair on Friday.
Love the peeping toes. I wore two turquoise (faux) necklaces, and they seem to coordinate very well.
I had originally put out my gold tone chain belt, but I liked the outfit better when it was more flowy. I wore two rings - a chalcedony on my right hand, and an amethyst/topaz duo on my left.
I also had to change shoes before I left the house. My gold sandals kept catching the hem of the pants, so I switched to my Lauren Conrad sandals.
They match better, anyway. That's it for my look of the day.
Yesterday, Doc asked me to cook lunch, and he said he wanted a casserole. I guess he was feeling nostalgic for his childhood, when it was common for our moms to make casseroles out of leftovers. I used all new food. First, I got a roast chicken, and cut up about a cup and a half of the breast meat.
Then I boiled some pasta. I used half egg noodles and half spinach fettucine, since that's what I had.
Then I added a healthy portion of frozen stir fry veggies, that I get at Costco.
First, I mixed the chicken and the noodles.
Then, I added the veggies in and stirred it all together. I put some chicken broth from a can and a box of Campbell's cooking sauce.
I baked this for 30 minutes. Then, I added some grated CoJack cheese and some Italian breadcrumbs and browned the top.
This is the finished product. Doc snarfed it down. I have to say, it was good.
So let's link up!!! I have been AWOL for a couple of days. First, Rachelle at www.pinksole.com is hosting How I Summer. Then, Cherie from www.stylenudge.com has Shoe and Tell.
