And I'm not talking just about the weather. We are having big El Nino storms here in SoCal today. We were promised a very wet winter, but it seems like it rains once per month, but that once is a biggie. I'm also talking about today's outfit:
I am wearing gray pinstripe slacks by Banana Republic, with a sweater by U Knit on top. Over that, I have a sharkskin jacket by Jessica McClintock. I took the opportunity to wear my new Banana Republic loafers.
I wore a costume necklace that combines tones of silver with tones of pewter.
Then i turned my focus to garnets. On my left arm, I have a garnet and opal bracelet that my mom gave me and a fire opal ring.
On my right arm, I have the new garnet ring that I got for this birthday, and a freshwater pearl bracelet from the Chakra Shack in Laguna Beach.
Yesterday, Doc and I went down to visit my mom at Villa Valencia. We brought her In N Out burgers and fries - that's a treat she hasn't had in a while. Much snarfing ensued. On the way home, we stopped at South Coast Plaza, our biggest nearby mall. Doc wanted to go to Barnes and Noble, and I wanted to go to Saks. I got my friend this tote bag.
I have one, and she has been coveting it. It's the perfect size to carry lunch and other small things that don't make it into your handbag. I also got a pair of shoes that I saw the last time I was in Orlando, but didn't want to lug home. They are made by Nine West, my favorite brand of shoe.
Aren't those cute? Then I worked on my costume for the upcoming Patient Safety Fair. Here are a few clues.
The full reveal will come on March 16th, the day of the fair.
