Sweating in the Rain

It's been so warm this winter that I haven't had the chance to wear that many of my heavier weight sweaters, but since it poured yesterday, I wore one...

This is a wrap sweater that I suppose can be worn pulled down longer over leggings. I folded the wide ribbed band up and doubled it over. Underneath, I wore a black pleated blouse with some lace and sequin embellishment.

I wore the velvet/rhinestone lariat that I got up in Portland.

This skirt is from Target - here's a better look at the pattern. I think it can be worn with mustard, gray and mauve, as well as black.

Today, it's still a bit chilly, so I wore basic wool pinstripe slacks and a very old wool sweater from Coldwater Creek. It's a little itchy.

I took two pictures of my necklace because it's hard to see. But it gave me a chance to show off the embroidery on the sweater as well as the tank underneath.

On my left arm, a leather bracelet, my round solitaire and a three stone fire opal band.

On the other arm, a leather/crystal bracelet and another fire opal/diamond ring.

Pandi now photobombs every photo session. I think the fame is getting to her head :)

Not a Runner's Paradise

Not today, anyway. It's finally raining here in SoCal. The weather service is concerned about the burn areas and flooding that may result from that. So we are keeping our fingers crossed for those poor people. But rain means no running, and I just got these...

New Asics Gel Venture 6 running shoes !! Asics is the only brand I wear - they seem to be the best for my feet. I tried them out yesterday, and they are pretty comfy. Breaking in new running shoes has always been a downer for me.

And my miniature partner in crime also got something new....

That's why I run too, P-dinky!!!

Anyway, this is what I am wearing for this drizzly day.

We have here a Gucci skirt and a BCBG Max Azria knit jacket.

It's a flat knit (similar to St John Santana but thinner) with pearl buttons and silver studs.

I am wearing one of my mom's necklaces.

Make a note of today - I rarely go without at least a couple of bracelets, but not today. So I did a closeup of some of the rings that I wear the most.

This is a round solitaire and a thin eternity band.

This was my mom's diamond, with a sapphire/diamond band.

Live in Olive

This is what I wore to work today:

This is one of my favorite tops - it's by Joseph A, and has a chiffon top with an attached fine knit cami underneath. The slacks are from IDeology. They are olive with a pinstripe and I will show you a closeup later.

On top, an olive leather jacket from Modcloth.

Here is a better look at my slacks, and my leopard wedge shoes.

My INC tassel necklace hasn't seen action in a while, but it seemed perfect for the lines of this outfit.

On my left arm, my Betsy Johnson leopard cuff and my yellow gold wedding set.

On my right arm, a stretchy crystal bracelet from Saks, and a carved amber ring.

Pandi Wants Her Outfit Post

This is the beautiful sunrise that I woke up to yesterday. Isn't it amazing?

So little Pandi watches Doc take my photo every day in HER room. Her New Year's resolution is to get her own outfits/fur documented. As I describe yesterday's getup, watch the bottom left corner.

These are black velvet Guess jeans and a black/tan chiffon top with hearts (not polka dots) on it. It's sheer, so I wore a black tank underneath.

Pandi has found her most flattering angle as I put on my Damon and Draper's warm up jacket.

She is now giving us her best supermodel face.

Here we are, both posed.

I wore a matte gold costume necklace with black cabochon stones.

On my left arm, a seed bead bracelet from the Chakra Shack in Laguna Beach and my yellow gold wedding set.

On my right arm, a studded leather bracelet and one of my grandpa's rings that i found in my mom's cedar chest.

Today, I am wearing the navy/black Rebecca Taylor dress that I got the other day.

On top, I am wearing a black/navy lurex collarless jacket. It matches perfectly, like my blue velvet shoes.

This is the best picture I could get of the pattern on the jacket.

My necklace is from INC and is silver tone, with these blue mirror things on it. 

On my left arm, an eternity band, a sapphire flower ring and an Italian silver bracelet.

On my right arm, all sapphire and diamond - the solitaire is my mom's engagement ring.
