The two outfits that I am going to show you today both have ivory as a base color and then use different bright colors to complete the look. Yesterday, I went for a light and bright look:
It started with an ivory shift in a thick scuba knit with a bit of mesh trim around the neckline.
Then I added a silk brocade jacket in a bright lime green.
You can see the brocade better here. My weird green resin necklace turned out to be a perfect match.
On my left arm, a stretchy crystal bracelet from Saks. Also, the creepy green ring from Nordstrom makes another appearance.
On my right arm, my Montana peridot ring, and a bracelet with lighter peridot stones.
Onto today, this Saks Fifth Avenue Black dress has an ivory top and a black skirt.
At the empire waist, there are some black patent squares that give the dress a nice, elegant touch.
For today's color, my id Sport deep red leather jacket that has alligator embossment.
The deep red color allowed me to wear my Sesto Meucci black suede pumps with the organza rose. They just came back from the shoe repair shop and look brand new !!
I wanted to wear gold jewelry, but with the silver zipper on my jacket and the silver trim on my handbag, I went with silver and garnet jewelry. Both necklaces were given to me by my mom. The top one, which looks like a blossom, was one that both my mom and I had. When she passed, I gave hers to my niece.
On my left arm, another mash up of my own pieces and my mom's. The garnet/opal bracelet was my mom's gift to me for my 40th, and the all garnet one was hers. As for the rings, the diamond cluster was mom's, while the diamond/ruby eternity band is mine.
On my right arm, the garnet cluster is a Colleen Lopez piece, and the two silver bracelets are old pieces.

Twice the Fun
You get to see two outfits today !! First, this is what I wore yesterday:
This is a dress that I have worn a lot. It always looks good, doesn't wrinkle because it's scuba knit and is always comfy. It was 102 degrees here in HB yesterday, with fierce Santa Ana winds that blew pine needles all over the yard. I had to present at a meeting yesterday, so I had to look nice, and this dress did the job.
I always wear the shorter lacy medallion necklace with this dress. I tried something different with the longer strand of beads, but they kept getting tangled in the shorter one, so I don't think I will use this combination again.
On my right arm, two diamond tennis bracelets and a tanzanite ring.
On my left arm, a white gold wedding set, a CZ bracelet, and an amethyst bracelet.
Today, it's less windy and cooler by about 5 degrees, but still toasty. Out comes the safari look:
This color blocked dress is from Loft.
On top, a linen safari jacket from Cache.
It has gold lurex woven throughout the fabric, and very shiny gold buttons.
This costume necklace of unknown provenance matches this outfit perfectly.
On my left arm, a leather/ mother of pearl cuff and my creepy green ring from Nordstrom.
On my right arm, my Montana peridot ring.

I Fell, Then I Heated Up Again
Friday was one of the few beautiful fall days that we see here in So Cal. I took the chance to wear a new dress that came from a local consignment shop:
It's a dark green and black print with a sheer upper bodice and sleeves. The skirt is crystal pleated and then has a bottom ruffle.
I used the color combo in my two necklaces, also. The shorter one is faux emerald, and the longer pearl one is Joan Rivers.
I fastened my bracelets over the cuffs of the dress. On my right arm, a studded leather cuff and an emerald/diamond ring.
On my left arm, my CDC and my yellow gold wedding rings.
Today, it will be a cooker out there - a 2 day heat wave that will bring the temperature here at the beach up to 90 degrees.
This outfit is a combo of a black kilt from Cache, a gold tank from Kohl's, and a short leopard and color blocked chiffon top from Exhilaration.
Two necklaces again - both are Joan Rivers. The top one is a gold tone wire that can be used with virtually any pendant, and the longer one has multiple interchangeable center stones.
Same left arm as Friday. Why mess with success?
On my right arm, a gold/diamond dust bangle and a white/black diamond ring.
I don't know what was going on here. It seems as though I was trying to make a point.

I'm Blue, so Blue
No, I am not sad, I just wore this beautiful color two days in a row. Yesterday, which was my MIL, Mimi's birthday (I told her not to look at the blog or she will see what her gift is), this is what I wore:
This is one of my favorite dresses, from Calvin Klein. It's a thick scuba knit with a very unusual and striking pattern.
I always wear the same two necklaces with this dress. They are faux turquoise necklaces that I got in Las Vegas. I always get compliments on them.
On my right arm, a tricolor Italian gold bracelet, a diamond eternity band and a chalcedony ring.
On my right arm, a turquoise/tanzanite bracelet and an amethyst ring that Doc had made for me several years ago.
Onto today, and more blue !! This is a knit skirt from Express and an embellished, boxy cut top from Nordstrom.
You can see the embellishment better in this pic of my two necklaces. The shorter one is sapphire/diamond, and the longer one is lapis.
On my left arm, the same tricolor gold bracelet as yesterday, and a diamond/sapphire ring.
On my right arm, a sapphire cocktail ring and a sapphire/diamond bangle.
I will leave you with two more pictures of my sweet little Pandi laying on my bathroom rug, waiting for me to give her a little lovin'.

The Clump of Color
I was off yesterday, so you get two outfits, plus shenanigans, today. First, an old favorite that I wore yesterday:
This is my Slinky Brand cold shoulder pants set that I wear all the time.
The only new thing is how Pandi kept trying to photo bomb me the entire time.
This photo is dark, because I was at the doctor's office, but you have all seen this Greenbeads by Emily and Ashley necklace many times.
On my left arm, a huge smoky topaz ring and a gold/diamond dust bangle.
On my right arm, another smoky topaz ring and a leopard enamel cuff from Betsy Johnson.
Today, we have yet another inspection at the hospital, and I have to attend a luncheon, so I wanted to look classic and muted.
The only color comes from my purple silk top and my amethyst jewelry. I layered two necklaces.
On my left arm, my yellow gold wedding rings and two amethyst/diamond bracelets.
On my right arm, two more amethyst bracelets and an amethyst ring.
Now what about the color and the clump ?
These are the pots and the plants that I bought over the weekend to freshen up the front yard and porch.
Here is the right side of the porch.
Here is the left side - I used crysanthemums and JohnnyJumpups.
And the famous front yard clump, with Doc's herbs all clustered in front.
Wednesday is my MIL Mimi's birthday, so I wrapped her gift up in pink and silver.
She asked for some skin care products, so I got her a complete line from Oil of Olay, two facial masks, and a set of scented lotion.
And here it is, all wrapped up and ready to go !!!
So let's do some linking:
