And They're Off !!!

We have fitness challenges at work, in which you do some type of activity, and if you make the cutoff, you can win a raffle prize. This time, it's a walking challenge, and for the grand prize, each member of a four member team has to log 10,000 steps per day. Here is my pedometer on day one:

Oh hell yes. I usually do my long run on Tuesday, but this week, I switched to Wednesday so we could get the points.

Now onto more important things. Today's color on the magical calendar is green, so this is what I wore:

I am wearing a Nicole Miller satin tunic with green INC pants. I doubled up on green necklaces

I also doubled up on green rings - one is emerald/diamond, and one is Montana peridot.

One more thing - I was watching HSN last weekend, and they offered a product that is supposed to temporarily plump up fine lines. They were giving a two for one deal, so of course I ordered.

Here is the box. It's called Peter Thomas Roth Instant Firm Eye.

It came with a nice brush - they say it's a $20 value. Here are the somewhat complicated instructions.

It's not as bad as it looks. After you do it once or twice, it's pretty easy. My only problem is that I tend to be a little heavy handed. You can feel it working. It feels like your skin is tightening.  Here is my eye before, open and closed.

And here it is after.

The stuff actually works. So I'm glad I got two of them. It can also be used on the lines between the eyes, and on marionette lines around the mouth. Try it out.

Two linkies today - Alice from www.happinessatmidlife.com has Throwback Thursday, and Nicole from www.highlatitudestyle.com has Top Of The World Style. Have a great day, and see you all tomorrow - time to get some steps over at the hospital.

I Love Being My Husband's Wife !!!

And I hope he agrees !!!! (I  think so). Yesterday was our anniversary. I was in conferences all day, and Doc worked all day, so we will celebrate later. Here's what I wore:

I look super happy, because I looked like this a second ago.

Doc said I looked grumpy, and models shouldn't be grumpy. So I began WURKIN IT.

Ugh. Just. No. But I do like my comfy Antthony Designs pantset. I wore my silver necklace, the same one as for the Super Bowl party.

On my right arm,

A silver cuff and a wide band with a mabe pearl. On my left arm,

My pretty wide bracelet from Maya on Melrose, my ruby/diamond wedding band and a round solitaire. I wore my black and white Guess maryjanes.

When I got home, these were waiting for me. Doc got them during his lunch hour.

Another beautiful and giant bouquet of sunflowers. Also, this was waiting for me.

My February Birchbox !!! Inside, this is what was there, from top to bottom:
1) Not Soap, Radio Body Wash, in Liquid Freud - weird name.
2) Malin and Goetz Clarifying clay mask
3) Parlor Detangling Leave In Conditioner
4) Arrow Boost Color Enhancing Lip Balm
5) Dasein Winter frgrance - very lovely fir scent

I tried the Lip Balm, and the color is very nice.

Onto today. Here is what I wore today:

This is the top of my St John suit, worn over a black sheath made by H&M. I wore my matte gold costume necklace with the black cabochons.

On my left arm, My yellow gold wedding set, along with a stretchy crystal bracelet from Saks.

On my right arm, a matching white enamel/crystal set from Saks

And that just about catches us up, so let's link!!! First, Jess from www.elegantlydressedandstylish.com has Turning Heads Tuesday. Lindsey at www.thepleatedpoppy.com has What I Wore, while Tameka at www.pastriespumpsandpi.blogspot.com has Who's Wearing What Wednesday. The horsies beat the kitty kats !!!

I didn't have a favorite team before I went to my friend's house for the big Super Bowl party. But as I was deciding what to wear, I figured that I have been to Denver 3 times, but I haven't been to the Carolinas (but will be going in June), so I would go Broncos !!!!

Here's my shout out to Peyton and the horsies:

I'm running for the goal line!!! This is a Saks Fifth Ave Black cold shoulder top and some ancient white drawstring pants. I wore a silver necklace that my mom gave me - the neckline of the top is already somewhat embellished.

On my right arm,

My Swarovski Nirvana in Black Diamond and a costume silver tone and crystal bracelet. On my right arm

Another silver bracelet (real) and a diamond/sapphire twisty band. I busted out a pair of summer shoes, since it was 82 degrees and beautiful yesterday.

For the party, I made fresh fruit salad. I started with a lemon juice glaze.

Then I added mango nectar and made a simple syrup with the juices.

This sat overnight. In the morning, I chopped up a bunch of fresh fruit.

There were bananas, canteloupe, granny smith, fuji, nectarines, a red pear, and oranges. I added thawed mixed berries.

I also added three kinds of canned fruit

Apricot halves, fruit cocktail and pineapple. They were all packed in juice. I added a bit of pineapple juice, but drank the rest. On the top, I made a yogurt dressing.

Then I decorated it with pomegranate juice, more honey, and pine nuts.

Et voila!!!!

It was literally snarfed up. Today, it's back to work. I have an important meeting today, so here is what I wore:

My black scuba and ivory Venice lace dress by Jax. This little beauty really needs very little in the way of adornment, but you know me - I can never leave well enough alone. So I wore my JC Penney cross necklace.

On my right arm, a leather/crystal cuff that I got as a souvenir in Baltimore and the Nirvana again.

On my left, the same silvertone bracelet and twist ring as yesterday, with a marquise solitaire added for luck.

One last thing - we went to Big Lots on Saturday, and I got these fuzzy butterfly hangers. They were 2 for $2. They are supposed to be used for storing scarves, but I will be using them to hang my accessories for the following day on my outfit hook.

And that's it, except for some links!!! Deb from www.elegantlyfashionable.com has Classy Monday, while How I Fall is going on over at www.pinksole.com, which is Rachelle's blog. And Patti at www.notdeadyetstyle.com has Visible Monday.

Have a great day, and see you tomorrow!!!
