Double Trouble Or Twice the Fun ??

Ok, you guys. I was just minding my own business on the way home from work yesterday, when I passed this:

I also have this belt already :

So imagine my delight when Stacy's also had it in another colorway.

But I'm not stoppin' there!!! (I sound like the guy who sells Bacon Bowls on TV). I also got a houndstooth dress.

Here's a closeup of this crazy number.

And I nabbed a sheer jacket with embellishment.

Check out the sleeves on this baby.

So home I went, with my Stacy's bag, only $30 poorer (not bad for me).

Of course, I immediately styled this dress for today - it's supposed to be in the mid to high 80s here in HB today. Here's how it turned out:

Dress and belt from Stacy's, and red cashmere zip front cardi from Neiman Marcus. I wanted to wear comfortable, neutral shoes because of the color riot of this marvelous dress.

Merona wedges to the rescue!!!! For my necklace, I went with another consignment find, in matte gold with colored cabochons.

And this outfit was a great reason to break out the red and gold jewelry. On my right,

A ruby cocktail ring and a goldtone/leather cuff from INC. On my left,

Some of the bangles I got in Kansas City last summer, and a blue topaz/garnet ring.

So let's get to linking!!! First, as always, Lindsey at www.thepleatedpoppy.com for What I Wore. Then, as always, lovely Tameka from www.pastriespumpsandpi.blogspot.com  for Who's Wearing What Wednesday. Last, but never least, Liz from www.shoppingmycloset.com for Style Me Wednesday. This should be fun and inspiring!!!

Okay, so I am very happy this morning. Guess who isn't joining me in the glee-fest?

Poor little Elli !!! Isabel is coming to clean today, so Elli has to be crated. I have never seen such a dirty look on the face of a 4 pound Chihuahua. I will be expecting a lot of disgruntled cackling when I get home. I'll get her a treat at lunchtime. See you all later!!!

Win, Place AND Show !!!!

Yesterday, our hospital had the wrap up for our latest fitness challenge. The idea was to walk 7500 steps per day for 6 weeks, ending up with 315,000 steps. I have been a runner for 38 (gasp) years, so this is right up my alley. Well, I am not the only runner in town - I came in third place. One of my coworkers logged over a million steps in the time period. Second place logged over 800,000, and yours truly clocked in with 715,000. So here's my prize :

A bronze medal, of course!!! Now I have all three - gold, silver and bronze!!!

They also raffled away other prizes, and I ended up with this:

My friend didn't want it, but I did!!! It's called a camel back and it's a hydrating system for bikers and hikers. The tubing connects to a bladder that goes inside a backpack. When you need a drink, you just sip out of the tubing. Here's what the inner bladder looks like:

After that, I had a delicious lunch of chili with cheese, onions and tomatoes, carrots, and Brussels sprouts. They also had a make your own trail mix display where we could mix up our own concoction.

It was yummy!!! But let's move on to something REALLY important - What is Rosie wearing today?

This cute, simple, comfy dress is from Victoria's Secret catalog. I have had it for years. It's a sweater knit, with pointelle details. Here are two closeup views.

The open weave makes it mandatory to wear black undergarments. At first, I forgot and put on my everyday nude bra, but that was quite a show, so I changed to black. the key to this look is the jewelry - a gob of sapphires set in gold. First, a long necklace

Then, a shorter version to fill in the neckline.

Incidentally, the dress has a cute scalloped trim at the neckline, which you can see here. My arms are likewise loaded down. On the left, a diamond tennis bracelet, a sapphire bracelet, and a London Blue topaz ring.

On the right, two more sapphire and diamond bracelets, and a matching ring.

And now for the kicker !!! Cherie at www.stylenudge.com is hosting Shoe and Tell, so I busted out a pair of awesome shoes that don't get a lot of lovin'.

They are perfect for this getup. They are made by BCBG girls. Aren't they awesome??

There are two other linkups going on today. Lovely Rachelle at www.pinksole.com is hosting How I Spring, and this is how I do it. Also, Rhea at www.rheaetcetera.com is hosting Style to Inspire. I am desperately trying to inspire you all. Check these fun links out!!

For a parting note, one of my other friends sent me this.

One of his neighbors wrote to Cesar Millan about his dog who attacked other dogs, so the Dog Whisperer came out to help. The show will air in 2016. Isn't that the coolest??

Animal Attraction

Well, I guess my Winter recap inspired me to mix some of my old items together. As you saw from the post, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. Well, I think that today I am a "Winner winner, chicken dinner!!" I really like this outfit. Cute and comfy and all made of older pieces.

On top, I have a nice thick knit cardigan made by Charter Club ( a Macy's brand). Underneath, I am wearing my Theory dress/jumper.

I cinched it all together with my Dolce and Gabbanna belt.

My necklace is also a rerun of many years. It's a combo pin/pendant/clip made of Swarovski crystals, although it's not that brand. I got it at Nordstrom.

On my left hand, two genuine Swarovski pieces - my Nirvana in Black Diamond and my Platinum cuff.

On my right hand, a costume ring that I got as a souvenir in Baltimore.

I am wearing my cheapie leopard fabric booties that I got for $5.98 at the Forever 21 after Xmas sales a couple of years ago.

I am wearing brown tights with them. I am carrying my Beverly Hills Bag Lady equestrian themed handbag.

And that's about it for the outfit. Over the weekend, I went to the Clipper game on Friday night. We played the Washington Wizards, and we won. We actually led for the entire game.  As always, here is the floor just prior to the game starting.

They did something a little different on Friday - they threw out these big lighted balls for the crowd to bounce to each other. They looked like they were made of parachute material.

I just wore jeans, a silver lurex cowl neck sweater, and a jacket I got at this year's after Xmas sales. It's by Style and Co, which is yet another Macy's brand.

Here's a closeup of the skull, made entirely of tiny silver studs.

I got home late, about 11:30 or so. On Saturday morning, I got up at 6:30 to go for a company sponsored hike in the Orange/Tustin area of town, about a half hour away from Huntington Beach. It was at a regional park called Peters Canyon.

It was a beginner/intermediate hike. There was one big hill to give it the intermediate classification.

We hiked for 5 miles, which took about an hour and a half.

Everyone seemed to have a good time. The hospital does these every third Saturday of the month. I will be attending whenever I can.

Today, it's Monday, so of course I am linking to Patti at www.notdeadyetstyle.com for Visible Monday. Go see this beautiful lady if you have a chance. And..... have a great Monday!!!
