We start this episode way back on November 29th. It was two days after Thanksgiving. I wore the Giglio Rossi wool sweater (a bit itchy since it's not merino wool), some Rachel Zoe joggers, a green print blouse from XOXO, and the Mossimo satin sneakers.
On December 1st, we were greeted by quite a sight. I have been hearing noises that sound like animal life on the roof. Well, someone (either our dogs or our neighborhood cats) killed this opossum. He was pretty big, so my money is on Jacki and Vinni as being the murderers.
Doc gave him a nice burial in the green waste.
He was quite a ferocious looking dude.
On December 2nd, we just walked dogs and did the usual stuff. I wore grey jeans from Old Navy, and a sparkly boucle top with a chiffon ruffle from Alfani.
That afternoon, Vinni got another prize! He has become quite bloodthirsty!
On December 3rd, for more hanging out, I wore black slacks from Tommy Hilfiger with the dupe Fendi top that I got at Goodwill.
On December 4th, I met my friend Mary for lunch at the hospital. We went to Urban Plates and got short ribs. I wore black slacks from a Korean brand, a Cache animal print blouse with gold leaf accents, and my leather blazer from Denim and Co.
It was very cold on December 5th, so I wore a cashmere sweater from Marconi, along with jeans from Elle. My lavender sneakers are from Nordstrom.
On top, a cargo jacket from J Crew.
On December 6th, I wore a lurex cardigan from Peck and Peck, along with some handmade checkered slacks.

On December 7th, I wore brown corduroy jeans from Old Navy, a brown and green argyle sweater from Temu, and the green Mossimo sneakers.
On December 8th, we went to visit the in-laws. I wore grey crushed velvet jeans from Jaco Pitchon and a grey sweater from Lafayette 148.
On December 9th, we went to Costco with Win. I wore lace print slacks from INC and a cashmere sweater from Club Room.
On December 10th, I went to lunch with another hospital friend, this time to Javier's in Newport Coast. I wore a black turtleneck, a metallic skirt from Xhilaration, and a leather jacket from Apostrophe.
My suede boots are from Sam Edelman, and my necklace is a two ounce silver coin with Eric Blood Axe on it.
My Ipsy bag came. Inside, from top to bottom:
1) Beautology 24k Gold Collagen Eye Masks
2) Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Balm Gloss
3) KOA LIFE NAD Peptide Facial scrub
4) BYOD Desire Matte Magic Loose Powder
5) Feel Beauty Retinol Body Milk
My Birchbox also came, but I forgot to get a picture before I out everything away.
On December 12th, it was back to laying around. I wore embellished jeans that are made from old Levis, a red half-zip from Damons and Drapers and the Mossimo shoes.
On December 13th, I wore polka dot pixie pants from Old Navy, along with am embellished hoodie from Club Room, and some ankle booties that I got in Las Vegas a long time ago, but never wore much, so I busted them out.
On December 14th, it was cold out again, so for our dog walk, I wore black stretch jeggings from Hue, a black turtleneck and a cashmere jacket from Fendi. My shoes are from Temu.
On December 15th, I got my hair cut. I wore brown corduroy jeans from Old Navy, a brown velour turtleneck, and a long cardigan sweater from Charter Club.
My belt is J Crew, and my boots are Blondo. My bone necklace is from an antique shop that was going out of business.
Check out the haircut! She did a great job shaping it up. We went to trader Joe's to get flowers for the following day - you will see why in just a minute. I wore grey stretch jeans from Iman Global, and the grey sweater from Lafayette 148. On top, a lighter grey poncho sweater from Kenneth Cole.
On December 17th, we celebrated Win and Mimi's 70th wedding anniversary with them and their daughter Tawn and her husband John. I wore velour slacks from Juicy with an antique velvet jacket.
It has an embroidered pink satin collar and faceted jet buttons. My shoes are Valentino.
Here's Mimi opening some gifts. John is in the background and Tawn is kneeling down. The dog is her doodle Ruby.
Mimi showed us her wedding photo album and her album from her 50th birthday party. The wedding album had telegraphs in it saying congratulations.
Tawn gave her this nice photo.
Here is the chocolate cake. My flowers ended up on the back counter.
Win and Mimi.
On December 19th, I went to Santa Ana Superior Court to see Camden Nicholson get sentenced for the murder of his parents. His father Rick was my boss for many years and one of the nicest people I know. His sentencing was continued to March because of a federal charge requiring him to surrender all his firearms and ammo. I couldn't see him, but I could hear him.
I wore a knit dress by Remi Bader and a sweater coat from INC that I got in Boston.
Onto my planned Christmas gifts. For Kim, one of these vintage apple pie plates. For Ashley, another apple pie plate and a German Chocolate Cake plate. Each lady plus my friend Elvia got a cosmetic bag filled with cosmetics.
This is the kids haul. They also got nice crispy 100 dollar bills.
Preston's
Benjy's
Joseph's
Calista's
All wrapped up!
On the way home from the courthouse, I saw that the Fountain Valley Salvation Army was having a sale.
A Club Room merino wool sweater in Burgundy, retail $80
A Tahari windowpane sweater, retail $68
A Matty M embellished sweater, retail $88
A Rachel Zoe blouse, retail $56
On December 20th, I wore the burgundy sweater with some navy track pants with a burgundy stripe and Steve Madden Maryjane shoes.
On December 21st, I wore the Rachel Zoe blouse with old Navy joggers and a Banana Republic merino wool sweater. My shoes are from Temu.
Pandi likes to snooze on her mat in front of the antique sewing machine. There's a furnace register right down there, so her little mat gets nice and warm.
On December 22nd, I wore the Iman Global jeans again, with a Style and Co waterfall cardigan.
Starting on Christmas Eve, we had an atmospheric river, Some areas of Southern California got over 9 inches of rain. Here is the flooded corner of our street.
And the Santa Ana River channel. That red thing was just a bag of garbage.
We went to Mass on Christmas Eve. I wore a deep fir green dress from Nordstrom with pearl trim at the neckline. My costume pearl necklace is from Kenneth Jay Lane.
On top, I wore my favorite holiday jacket from Karen Lawrence. It's black brocade with fur trim at the cuffs.
On Christmas Day, we went to Win and Mimi's and had Chinese lunch with Luke, Ashley and Preston. I wore bronze leather slacks by Shelli Seagal and a maroon and lurex top with no label that I got at Savers.
I got this mohair cape at the American Cancer Society Discovery shop.
On December 26th, Nate, Kim and the kids came down to visit. They opened their gifts. I do believe that they liked the 100 dollar bills the best.
I went thrifting earlier that day. From the Salvation Army:
Andrew Marc moleskin skinny pants retail $79
Brighton concha belt retail $165
Hudson jeans in deep green velvet retail $468
Equipment safari shirt, retail $325
So that's about all for now! Next we have New Year's Day and then my birthday at the end of January, so stay tuned!
