Since spring is over, it seems like all the birds have hatched babies. Case in point - these ducklings.
More on birds and our own little duckling, Preston, who turns 16 this month. We'll start with some outfits:
On June 7th, I wore a dress that I used to wear to work a lot. It's from BB Dakota. I always wear it with this rhinestone embellished purple tank top. My Catherine Malandrino shoes worked well with this.
On June 8th, we just did some local shopping for groceries and that stuff. I wore this knit top with pleated sleeves from Tahari, and printed pants from Loft. This necklace is from an antique shop down in San Juan Capistrano that was going out of business. I paid $6 for it, and there's a tag on the back that say $58. It's some type of polished bone.
On June 9th, I wore a printed T shirt dress from Lularoe with Temu sneakers to go dog walking. No other excitement that day.
On June 10th, I got my hair cut. I didn't like it the last time it was cut, and the hairdresser commented on how uneven it was. She asked me where I had it done, and I pointed to the guy who was working in the next chair over. This lady did a great job. I wore a satin top from Temu and a satin skirt from Ultra Flirt. My necklace is from Charlotte, NC - I got it at the Taste of Charlotte Street fair.
Speaking of Temu, I got two memory foam pillows. Look how flat they were when they were vacuum packed. I like them.
My June Ipsy bag came. Inside, from top to bottom:
1) Love+Craft+Beauty Astro Allure Muti-Face Palette
2) Dermalactives Perfecting Face Serum with Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid
3) Kokie Professional Chrome Gel Eyeliner in Electra
4) First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Body Lotion
5) Luna Magic Double Sided Puff
On June 13th, we took Preston to Matsu's to celebrate his 16th birthday, which was on June 20th. He passed his driving test and can now drive the Chevelle he has been restoring. I wore a knit maxi dress from Rhapsody.
Here are me and Mimi out front.
And me and Doc.
We got the boat - it has sushi, chicken katsu, teriyaki beef, salmon, mixed tempura, and vegetables.
Preston and Ashley.
All of us!
Me and Ashley.
Preston requested flan for his cake.
On June 14th, Mimi and I went to an art and photographic exhibit at the HB Public Library. It was called A Bird's Life. I wore two of the pieces of my three-piece Temu knit set.
The photos of the egret and the osprey were beautiful.
Some paintings of local scenes - the wetlands and the Crystal Cove Shake Shack.
More fantastic bird photos.
This owl and these hummingbirds are paintings! They are so realistic! It was a wonderful exhibit.
On June 16th, I had some errands to run, including some banking. I wore a paisley dress from Amazon. I changed my shoes from Temu sneakers to gold sandals after we walked the dogs.
My Birchbox came. Inside, from top to bottom:
1) Birchbox Kabuki brush
2) Balance Me BHA Exfoliating Concentrate
3) Le Joyau d'Olive Orange Blossom hard milled soap
4) A sample of Estee Lauder Revitalizing Supreme +
5) Arrow Under Eye Brightening Serum
6) Comfort Zone Active Pureness Clay Mask for Impurities
I restocked my Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid and am trying their Argiriline Solution.
Bath and Body Works had a 75% off sale. I got two body washes and a hand soap.
I also got two aerosol spray fragrances.
And three candles.
Nordstrom sent me a $25 gift card, so I got this DKNY satin jacket.
This tiger eye and faux pearl necklace set came from Temu. It's one of the nicest things that I have gotten from them.
On June 17th, I wore a summer dress from Bar III and my Kenneth Cole Soft Souls comfort sandals. I got them for my vacation but forgot to bring them.
On June 18th, I wore a denim vest that I got from Temu along with a denim trimmed toile skirt that I have had for a very long time. This outfit was not very flattering, so I probably won't wear this combination again.
On June19th, I went to Walmart and got a baby pool for Jacki. Unfortunately, she doesn't like it.

I also got a floating backrest for $5 for myself. I do like it.
Jacki and Vinni watched me while I launched my float.
Then Jacki patrolled and played lifeguard while I used it.
Vinni joined in the fun!
I will be using this a lot during the summer. It's very enjoyable, floating around in the pool.
On June 25th, I went to Central Park while Doc went to the library. I had to return my books. I wore pale green leggings from Old Navy and a chiffon tunic from Rose and Olivia.
They have reopened Adventure Playground for the summer.
It looks like a man-made pond with innertubes, slides, and other water toys. There's also a fort to climb on.
On June 26th, I wore leggings from Felina and a top from Nine West to do some dog walking and hiking to Tommy's to get chili tamales.
On June 28th, we drove down to San Marcos with Mimi for our nephew Dustin's wedding. We stayed overnight. For the drive, I wore the pants from a Shein pants set with an embellished top that I got at the Salvation Army.
For the wedding, I wore a tiered mesh floral dress. I didn't like it - it looked nice, but I had to keep yanking the cowl neckline part up all night. I gave it away after wearing it.
The wedding was at the Twin Oaks Golf Course. No photos were allowed during the ceremony.
Monday, June 30th was my FIL Win's 94th birthday. Mimi was under the weather from heat exposure during the (very hot) wedding, and Win was exhausted from going to Costco, and they were napping, so we didn't celebrate until later. Doc and I dropped off a four-flavor cheesecake assortment for him. I wore pink scrubs from Figs with an embellished top from Casual Corner.
On July 1st, I went to Bank of America to handle some investments. I wore an ivory dress from Yank with the DKNY jacket and the Temu tiger eye jewelry. I really liked this outfit.
On Thursday, July 3rd, we went grocery shopping. I wore a crystal pleated shift dress from Sunny Leigh and my Soft Souls shoes. The necklace is costume.
We stayed home on July 4th to comfort the dogs. There were a lot of fireworks, since they used to be illegal in HB, but now they are allowed. I wore a summer dress from Collective Collection along with a lurex tank from St John.
On Saturday July 5th, we went over to Win and Mimi's to celebrate his birthday. Luke, Ashley, and Preston brought Habit burgers, fries, and Slurpees. I wore black slacks and a chiffon tiered top from Mixit. My necklace is costume, from Givenchy.
Today, I am assembling a plant stand that I got from Temu. The top plant is artificial, and the other three are seedlings that I grew myself.
I wore a shift dress from Halogen, along with my Toms sandals.

So that about covers June 2025 for you - not too exciting but a good month nonetheless. We will see what July brings!
