May Goes Flying By!!

I got home from Hawaii on May 7th, a Sunday. I went back to work the next day. It was no problem, since I had a four-hour time difference to make up. I went to bed before eight that night.

On Monday, May 8th, I wore a tried and true dress from North Style. It always looks great,

I wore a moonstone statement necklace and silver and pearls.

On May 9th, I dressed like I was still in Hawaii, even though it was a gloomy day here that day. This is a One World T shirt with a chiffon overlay and a scuba skirt from Sharagano. I was chilly all day.

On Wednesday, May 10th, I wore black ponte slacks and a mesh poncho top.

The devil is in the details. I wore an Escada belt, my Hermes cuff, and the necklace I got at the Green Gypsy Thrift shop in Haleiwa. It's pearls, onyx and carnelian. It was a great deal!

I bought a bunch of sauces from WalMart online. They had such a great variety in Hawaii. This is two Taco Bell Mild Sauces, one LaChoy Sweet and Sour Sauce, one Bibibop Yum Yum Sauce, one Tony Ho's YumYum Sauce, and a Panda Express Sweet Chili Sauce.

In this picture we add: Ginger People Ginger Peanut Sauce, Sweet Baby Ray's Garlic Parmesan Sauce, Lee Kum Kee Hoisin Sauce, three of the Blood Orange Balsamic Glaze from Great Value, and a Thai Kitchen Pad Thai Sauce.

This is a delicious dinner of Fried shrimp with Sweet Chili Sauce, white rice, and pineapple coleslaw. I was inspired to buy these sauces based on what they had at the Walmart there.

Luke, Ashley, and Preston gave me these lilies for Mother's Day. I love the dark color.

Back to work on Tuesday, May 16th. I wore a wonderful dress from Ellen Tracy. So thick and comfy.

I accessorized with a lot of ethnic stuff. I got the necklace in the Philippines.

On May 17th, I expected a stressful day, due to the activity that was going to happen that day, so I dressed in a dress from Maggy London that always looks wonderful and is very easy care.

I wore gold and gemstone colors - real deep gens or Swarovski crystals. I looked great all day long. And the dreaded event went just fine!

The next day, May 18th, I tried a dress that I haven't worn in a while. It fit fine, so I will keep it. I like the colors and the shape is very flattering.

On May 19th, I wore a new combination. I had the dusty blue ponte slacks, and I found the matching cardigan and top in different thrift shops.

Gotta say it looks great!!

I got my Ipsy bag. I finally got contacted by Birch Box. They owe me two boxes, which they will send soon. Then they will restart their box service. Here's what I got:

1) The Beauty Crop BFF Brow Mascara in Clear

2) THEBALM Cosmetics Anne T. Dotes Tinted Moisturizer

3) Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse-Off Formula

4) Korres Santorini Grape Velvet Skin Drin

5) Pear Nova Lunar Lip Style in Gravity.

On Monday, May 22nd, I wore another one of my favorite dresses from MM Fleur. I got it in Philadelphia or Washington DC. I think DC. It looked like nothing on the hangar but once I put it on, it was over.

I wore a Joan Rivers statement necklace and some blue topaz and sapphire jewelry.

I covered up with a Louis Vuitton pashmina.

On Tuesday, May 23rd, I wore a snow leopard print dress from Kate Spade. I covered it with a silver lurex long cardigan from Style and Co.

Lots of blue topaz and silver jewelry.

On May 24th, I wore a cute scuba dress from CeCe. I wore a lace baseball jacket by Bar III over it and this costume necklace that I got in San Luis Obispo. I like the necklace, but it has tarnished pretty badly, which is disappointing since it wasn't cheap.

The gold lurex sweater from Cache is new to me. It's super comfy but needs a layer because it is see-through. I wore brown leggings from Old Navy and tan sueded booties from Gibson Latimer.

I didn't go anywhere over Memorial Day weekend since I just got back from Hawaii. We hit the Salvation Army Big Sale.

Thes are pale suede booties from Bar III, a Macy's brand. They have gold heart-shaped studs. They're new with tags.

These crystal-embellished sandals are from DB Studio. They're new with tags.

Then I got these Fendi jog pants. They are definitely counterfeit - the large yellow logo was covered by a patch that I picked off. They are nice fabric.

I got a lot of very needed running shorts. I chose five pairs since everything was 50% off. These are representative. They are all name brands with the attached panty.

These nice white bermudas are from Chaps, a Ralph Lauren brand. I bet they will be destroyed by next year.

These are Iman Global Chic jeans. I love Iman - she is so beautiful and loved David Bowie, so. I have palazzo pants from her and they are divine. I have always wanted to try the jeans.

They seem nice and are extremely form fitting. I will let you know once I wear them.

Then I got this Jones New York gold lurex and tweed top. It's tank style but not stretchy.

I found this gorgeous off white warm up jacket.

It's quilted and very thick, I love it.

You will see this chiffon dress coming up this next week.

It has a border print.

This red eyelet classic sundress from Ann Taylor is perfection.

This one was a surprise. I had never heard of this brand - Tolani. This crepe batik sundress costs about $200 brand new.

This OVI dress will also be seen in the next week. I was a little concerned that it would be tight, but it was perfect, as you will see.

This can be either a very short dress, a swimsuit cover-up or a long tunic top. It's by Max Studio, another Macy's brand.

Then I got this delicate crepe camisole by Banana Republic. This will get a lot of wear.

I added up the cost of all these items as if they were new. Most of them seemed to be. I used $200 for the Fendi joggers, because that is about what counterfeits would cost.

I paid $54.79 for $1091 worth of goodies. You can bet that I will be back next year.

On Sunday, May 27th, I met a good friend at Fashion Island for lunch and shopping. I wore the shift dress. It looks good. I wore navy tights and rust suede sandals.

We went to Hopdoddy Burger Bar. It was delicious. Then I went to that Macy's and got a couple things. I will show you as I wear them.

We went to the Swap Meet on Saturday. I scored this ceramic pie plate that has the recipe for Lemon Meringue Pie. We have cherry pie, pecan pie, and now this one. I paid $5, which is a steal.

I got these black suede boots by Sam Edelman. They were $5! The guy had a billion pairs of boots, all $5. This is why you go to the swap meet.

On Tuesday, May 29th, I wore a turtleneck sweater from INC. I got it at Macy's this weekend. I had the pants and you saw the booties. it is ribbed and has these ruched shoulders.

Check out the necklace! Doc got me this Eric Bloodaxe one ounce coin and I got a fancy bezel for it.

This is the Walking Liberty that Doc got me for Christmas.

Next up is the Scottish Unicorn. I need to get a bezel for this.

I wore a Gucci silk scarf on top. Gucci scarves are huge.

On Wednesday, May 30th, I wore a lace top from Janet Chang, with Express Ponte pants.

The embellished velour jacket is Onque. I got a lot of compliments on this outfit. Black and gold is my favorite color combination.

Here is that H&M Chiffon sundress. I wore a brown lurex cardigan over it. One of the nurses said that I looked extra beautiful that day. This definitely looked better in person.

I wore rose gold and topaz/diamond jewelry and some Black Hills Gold rings and bracelets.

Anyway, we are busy getting a new TV. I have it all picked out and will set that all up on Sunday. In the meantime, I keep busy with fun, games, and schemes. Stay tuned!!
