Well, I am delighted to say that the COVID numbers here in SoCal have been going down at such a rapid pace that we have moved to the less restrictive Orange Tier from the Red Tier. So things are starting to open up, but not the library (much to Doc's dismay). We will see how this goes. It's sort of a non-event for us since we are vaccinated, but it's nice to get back to things being more normal.
We got a new room mate. His name is Fred.
That's all for our home based hero, Fred. But we celebrated some hospital heroes last Thursday:
Our CEO, COO and the political leaders from Fountain Valley, Ca (the city in which the hospital is located) all gave speeches and commemorative plaques to the employees.
Here I am, with some members of Fountain Valley PD.
And here I am with some of my office mates.
So what have I been wearing for the last two weeks? Well, on March 22nd,
I wore this scuba knit dress from Worthington.
On top, a satin blazer from Emmanuel Ungaro.
I layered three necklaces, all in rose gold.
The next day, March 23rd, saw me wearing dress from A New Day, a Target brand..
My new Top Moda boots are from Nordstrom, purchased on clearance for a very good price.
And my brocade jacket came from Stein Mart, a store that was a casualty of the pandemic. The brand is ICE.
I did not care for my outfit on March 24th. It seemed unflattering and just blah. I will not be repeating this.
I topped it with a Style and Co waterfall cardigan. At least I was comfortable, although very frumpy.
Here is a better look at what I wore on the 25th, for the Heroes celebration:
My statement necklace came from the gift shop at the hospital.
On Friday, March 26th, I went for comfort. This outfit features fleece lined leggings, a floaty chiffon top with a bow neck from Worhtington, and a sequined cardigan from Barandi.
Here's a good look at the embellishment on the ankles of the leggings, and my new favorite shoes, from Louise Et Cie.
And a good look at my necklace, which is mabe pearls and crystals. It was my mom's.
On Monday, March 29th, I wore a vintage dress from Ann Taylor. Check out the shoulder pads !!
The sandals are another version of the shoes I wore on Friday, only they are from Marc Jacobs.
My belt is Escada, and once again, I layered three necklaces.
This white boucle jacket with black blanket stitching is Graff.
On Tuesday, March 30th, I wore one of my favorite dresses, from Tom Ford. I got it in London at Selfridge's.
Here is a good look at the iridescent waterfall necklace that I always wear with it. As you can see, the elaborate embroidered panels are separated by black mesh, which is lined in a nude fabric.
And today, March 31st, I am wearing another favorite, from Saks Fifth Avenue Black.
My shoes are Isaac Mizrahi, and I only layered two necklaces today.
Some of my flowers have started to spring up. My coral rose bush is covered in flowers.
And the African daisies are doing well also. They are accompanied by English lavender.
I had a little problem with my dining table centerpiece. The cat tail ruptured.
There were little seeds everywhere.
I removed the cat tail and spruced the centerpiece up a bit.
So that's about all - we are going to see all of the grandkids this weekend and give them their Easter baskets. I'm sure that it will be fun. Stay tuned!!
