I do have four outfits to show you, because even when I am boring, I still have to get dressed.Way back on May 28th, after the lovely long weekend,
I wore my Albert Nipon suit. I generally wear either a purple sweater or a lavender satin blouse, but today I chose a grey cashmere crew neck by Philosophy.
I wore a couple of costume necklaces - one beaded lariat and one of those Y necklaces that were popular years ago.
On May 29th, I wore a polyester ( but looks like silk) copper shirtdress from H&M.
It doesn't need a belt, because it has these aglets that work as a drawstring.I wore my mom's amber beaded Joan Rivers necklace and a Betsey Johnson leopard cuff.
On June 3rd, I wore a pair of pants that I haven't worn in a long time, mostly because they are very form fitting, and also because they are light tan. That's a hard combo to pull off without being self conscious.
My brocade top is from JR Nites and my black leather jacket is from Clio.
Today, I combined some stuff that I have had for a long time, but never wore together. The silk sarong skirt is Dana Buchman, and the lime linen jacket is from Mossimo, the enemy of all alumni of USC.
I actually tried three different tops before I settled on this baby blue tank from Old Navy. The other contenders were a cadet blue tank and a navy blue sweater. This shade of blue matched the skirt the best, but the navy was a close second.
I purchased some of the Memorial Day grocery specials last week, and we had a couple of feasts. On June 1st,
We had rib eye steaks. they were delicious.
I served them with zucchini and sauteed mushrooms.
We also had store bought mustard potato salad.
On June 2nd, I made chicken breasts with avocado slices and melted pepper jack on top.
We had them with mashed potatoes and Asian stir fry veggies. Also delicious.
We got a new sofa. It's from Ikea. We had a really cheap sofa bed from Wayfair, but it was a total piece of crap, and only lasted two years. I also had incredibly bad customer service from them, and they were awful to deal with. I will never buy anything from them again. This sofa is actually very nice for the price, even though it requires assembly and the washable covers have to be ironed before they are put on the cushions.
The seats are pretty deep, and you can also buy additional sections if you want it to be bigger. Pandi approved of it, and immediately slumbered on it.
Not much action in the garden this week - the roses need some time to renew their blossoms.
So I got a $5 bouquet from the local florist - it has held up for a week now and still looks good.
This is the view that I get whenever I am in the living room. Two poor souls staring inside, hoping to get some snacks.
Kenni and Vinni keeping watch. Vinni's ears are always this way - one up and one down. As far as I can tell, he is half Corgi and half American Eskimo, but who knows?
This is the side eye that I get whenever it's time for Pandi's Apoquel. She takes it because she has bad flea allergies. A single flea drives her nuts.
I will leave you with another great bed head. Nice.
This is my current photo on the company website. It was taken a year ago. We will see if it will be replaced.
