For those of you who work in healthcare, you know that there are always inspections, or as we call them, "surveys". Well, we just had our mother ship of surveys last week, so I was unable to update my oh so exciting life. Let's go way back to May 7th. This is what I wore:
This is a dress by Carole Little. It's always comfy and never wrinkles.
On top, I wore a purple jacket that my MIL, Mimi, gave me.
I wore my black velvet belt from Ann Taylor and my purple waterfall necklace- it was my mom's, and it is Joan Rivers brand.
On May 8th, I wore my DS Dress DNA dress. The pattern reminds me of the double helices of DNA.
It's a nice thick intarsia knit.
I wore a silver herringbone chain and a Cookie Lee necklace that has a wishbone, a heart and one wing.
My May Birchbox came.
Here's what was inside, top to bottom:
1) COOLA Classic Moisturizer SPF 50
2) Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip and Cheek Stain in Forever Pink
3) Arrow Enhance Waterproof Eye Brightener
4)MAC In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash Mascara
5)Beauty Protector Protect and Detangle
6) Wilma Schumann Skin Care Hydrating Collagen Eye Pads
My Ipsy bag also came.
1) Nature's Cartel Multi Purpose Stick in GlowBal Awakening #1
2) Blossom Compact Eyeshadow in Dusty Miller
3) INNISFREE Pore Clearing Clay Mask with Super Volcanic Clusters
4) La Chatelaine Gardenia Hand Cream
My bouquet making continues on. Red Floribunda roses:
Salmon pink roses:
Orange roses and cactus flowers:
More salmon pink with purple stock:
Baby pink with English lavender:
I also did some shopping. I got a string of fairy lights to string across the top of the patio cover.
And one of my coworkers likes my weekly manicures, so I got her a set of the same nails that I use, and I got myself some SPF 100 - I had a lot of coupons from CVS.
Nordstrom had a sale on Wacoal bras, so I got a new everyday bra. While there, I noticed that they were having a huge sale on other stuff, so I picked a few things up.
This is a scuba knit dress with a very gathered skirt.
And then I got this trumpet sleeved dress from Sharagano.
The trim that you see is black and white plaid.
I also got some comfy shoes for work, by Dr Scholl.
They have a lot of insole padding and arch support. They feel wonderful.
On Mother's Day, we went to the shooting range in the morning, and then took KFC over to Mimi and Win.
This is what I wore:
I sported brown satin cargo pants and a cashmere turtleneck.
The turtleneck has bugle bead trim down the front.
And my Coach loafers were the perfect match.
This is how my Sharagano dress looks on:
I wore a silver herringbone and a black/white crystal pendant from KJL.
Also making an appearance, my Gucci fishnets.
On Tuesday, more Sharagano, this time slacks. They are black with tiny silver nailheads wrapping around the legs.
My Jospeh A sweater is a faux wrap around.
I wore a buffalo turquoise and smoky topaz necklace.
On Wednesday, it was my turn to be interviewed by the surveyors. I wore a plain black dress from INC.
On top, a gray mini-check blazer from Tahari.
I did exceptionally well on the survey, so I was given a Vanilla Melon candle as a gift.
It smells great.
It rained on Sunday, and is below average this week, for some weird reason. So I wore a wintry outfit yesterday.
These are grey slacks from Express, a sequined shell from Ann Taylor and a waterfall cardigan from Style and Co.
Here's a closer look. The necklace is costume.
Today, I am sporting my comfy boots. The safari jacket is Cache, and the skirt is Uniform.
I look even more like the Crocodile Hunter with my wide leather belt and weird green necklace.
Well, that catches us up. This weekend, I am going to plant some more roses and maybe get a sofa that I have been eyeing from Ikea. We'll see. We also have a luau to go to. Have a great weekend, and see you all later!!!
