I have been even busier than usual - but now, it's not work, it's something that I will tell you about in due time, dear friends. As a treat, let's look back at what I wore over the past week. Or so. Wayyyy back on August 28, this is what I wore:
This is a Nine West knit tank top with gold bead detail. Over it, I have a gold lurex sweater. The print skirt is a stiff poplin material, made by Bandolino. It has an attached ribbon belt and some bead detail on the waist. The details (that you can't see) were very coordinated.
On August 29th, I crammed myself into these white pants. They are 100% cotton, and need to be washed in hot water because I am messy. Then they stretch out over the course of the next couple of hours, but then, at the end of the day, I have to wash them again. So they go from straight jacket to baggy then back to straight jacket every time. But I do like how they look. This is a crammed version. It doesn't look so bad, but dang it's sausage city.
On top, a mesh tunic from INC. It has cold shoulders, but I had to stitch the sleeves to the drawstring because they slip down and then end up at my elbows. But 2 little stitches fixed that problem.
I wore the turquoise necklace that Doc got me from Southwest Indian Foundation, along with a silver herringbone chain. The top has little silver studs scattered around.
I also have 2 turquoise cuffs, but only took a picture of one of them.
On August 30th, I wore one of my favorite dresses, from Saks Fifth Avenue Black.
It has a keyhole back that looks great now that my hair is shorter.
I wore a garnet/diamond loop necklace and my LV lock pendant.
On my left arm, my yellow gold wedding rings and a garnet/diamond bracelet.
On my right arm, a garnet/diamond ring and a claddagh bracelet that Doc got for me in Ireland.
I was flexed off work on the 31st, and just wore shorts and a T shirt, the standard Rosie off duty outfit. On September 1, our grandson Joseph got baptized in the LDS church. I wore this Style and Co lace shift with a stretch belt covered in crystals.
I wore my mom's KJL pendant again.
On my left arm, a diamond tennis bracelet, my mom's engagement ring, and a white sapphire eternity band.
On my right arm, another diamond tennis bracelet and my yellow gold wedding set.
On Labor Day, we just kicked it and went to JC Penney. I have not been there in forever. I did not know if my credit card was still active. So I went to customer service and told my story - I had all these coupons they had mailed me, and spent an hour in the store picking items out. None of the display placards said that these items did not qualify, although I saw those placards on several other displays. I got to the cashier, after standing in a long line, and not a single item qualified for the coupon. I left in the huff of all huffs, and never went back. But they had towels that I wanted, so customer service apologized and gave me $50 credit. I bought six towels and 8 pair of underwear for Doc. In doing so, I earned $10 JCP cash. I bought the top you will soon see, plus a dress, and paid $6.16. So JCP, you now have a return customer!!!
Anyway, on Tuesday September 4, I wore one of my very favorite Calvin Klein dresses. It is one of the most flattering and comfy items I own. It's scuba knit, and has the coolest graphic print.
M Las Vegas faux turquoise necklaces are always perfect with this CK dress.
On my left arm, an enamel cuff and my Swarovski Nirvana in blue.
On my rigt arm, a turquoise/tanzanite bracelet and a blue topaz/garnet ring.
So here is the famous JCP top. The dress is a similar print in a sheath style, with the same colors. I wore it with some very old peach 5 pocket jeans from some obscure European brand.
My INC rose gold and gray crystal necklace looked great.
On my left arm, another INC cuff my my gigantic old lady smoky topaz ring.
On my right arm, the other INC cuff - I got all three pieces at Macy's in the Fashion Show mall in Las Vegas. i also wore my X ring and my black/white pave diamond ring.
On Thursday, I wore my one and only purchase from this year's Nordstrom Anniversary sale. It is a knit dress from eci. It's an extra small, because that's all they had, but I would prefer a small, just for more flexibility through the linebacker shoulders that I have.
A Charming Charlie costume necklace looks perfect.
On my right arm, a sapphire/diamond ring and a stretchy crystal cuff from Saks.
On my left arm, two sapphire bracelets and a London Blue Topaz ring.
These last four pictures are of grasshoppers that I saw in my garden. There were two of them, and they were more than happy to pose for portraits. They are gorgeous.
So that's it - I will be absent for a bit. Something happened that I need to take care of, but I will be back with lots of stories (I hope). See you all soon!!!
