And here is how it looks on me:
Oops. Forgot to remove the pedometer. Oh well, at least there's no toilet paper on my shoe. This dress was rather droopy and saggy on the hanger, and since it was so inexpensive, I didn't even bother to try it on. So I was happy that it fit so well, and wasn't as saggy on my body. You never know. It's from BCBG Max Azria, who usually does nice clothes with a seductive touch, like the cold shoulders you see here.
I stuck with mostly emeralds for my jewelry, because duh. The bowtie makes it impossible to wear much of a necklace, but I did manage to wear my long gold necklace with the faux emerald pendant.
On my left arm, my Irish Claddagh wedding ring that Doc got me in Ireland, and two gold bracelets.
On my right arm, my peridot ring from Montana, a sapphire bracelet, and the matching Claddagh bracelet.
I had a bit more of a problem when deciding what purse to carry. I have a kelly green one, but in the end, I went with teal suede from Neiman Marcus, because the hardware is gold, and the green one has silver hardware. My Hale Bob shoes with the jeweled detail were perfect.
They have never gotten a lot of screen time, but there really isn't any good reason for that.
I asked Elli, my greatest fan and critic, what she thought of my getup. Well, anything that isn't black and tan gets the following response:
I remember when I was a kid and loved my mom's spaghetti. When we HAD to eat roast beef or something else, my mom would say " You know, we can't have spaghetti every night." So Elli, "You know, we can't wear black and tan every day." So there.
