An Octopus' Garden in the Sea

Did you miss me? I actually forgot my phone at home yesterday. I felt like I forgot my arm. But when I got home, it turns out that there was an attempted break in a few houses down the street. Our neighbor happens to be a Sheriff, and the guy one door from him works in the LAPD. So they thwarted the obviously amateurish attempt. We had them over for bread pudding last night, so Doc and I could hear all the details.

Now, more about me. Here's what I am wearing today:

This is a Juicy Couture knit top with some chiffon ruffles down the front and my Fendi pants.

They have a black on black jacquard pattern. I carried a Rebecca Minkoff bag and wore Sesto Meucci suede pumps with a red organza rosette.

                                   On my right arm, a fire opal ring and a silver bangle.

On my left arm, a garnet/opal bracelet that my mom gave me for my 40th (moooons ago), a ruby band, and a round diamond solitaire.

Of course, since it's Wednesday, Doc got flowers. This time, it was orange sunflowers that I embellished with some of the bloomy things that grow out of the succulents.

                Remember when Saks sent me a 15% off card that had to be used in store?

                                         I got a new Calvin Klein dress, on clearance.

I love Calvin Klein. It's polyester, rayon and wool, and has to be dry cleaned. It has a draped neckline, held by a silver bar. It has raglan sleeves.

                                               It has an exposed back zip, also silver.

Here's the tag with the info on style number. The color is called cerulean. It's beautiful.

And what a good price !!! I have a big meeting next week, and you will see it on me then.

Now, as for the title of this post. I have a little cactus garden going on in the windowsill of our home office. Here are my little friends:

The one on the left in the bottom picture is really called a Chocolate Soldier. He's fuzzy and brown. They are all doing very well, as you can see.
