Bacon Bowls, and a Stone Wave. I envision making at least one bacon bowl on Sunday. Stay tuned. Then, when I got home, a wonderful, fabulous surprise was waiting for me on the porch. You see, my family gave me a $100 gift card for my birthday. So of course, I spent it as fast as humanly possible. Where did I drop some coin?
Oh H yes. Saks. I have never ordered through the mail from Saks before. The box was beautifully packaged. Underneath the two tissue wrapped items was a sheet of bubble wrap. And see that little thing in the upper right hand corner? We will get to that.
So for $64, I got two items on deep, deep clearance. First, A dress from my favorite brand - Calvin Klein.
It's a lovely, red, heavy knit T shirt type dress with embellishment down the sides and around the neckline.
The detail is in mixed metals, so any color of metal jewelry will work. The other item is a sweater by Catherine Malandrino.
It's a tunic length, heavy knit, in ivory with gold metallic detail. Here's a better look at this baby:
Four perfume samples - 2 Gucci, one Valentino, and one Prada. Also,
A Re-Vive peel kit!!!! The directions say that it is safe to use once a week, so I used it last night. The packaging seems like it's pronounced Ray-Vive. I liked it, and still have one of the moisturizer packets left. Such a wonderful shopping experience!!! I have always liked Saks.
That's it for the bounty. Now for my booty. What am I wearing?
I topped this outfit with my Caribbean Joe satin baseball jacket. I'm glad I did - it was chilly out this morning. Underneath,
A skirt by Simply Vera Wang, a satin blouse by IZ, and my sweater vest from Peck and Peck. I loved how this outfit looked in person - the pix, not so much. Here's a closer look at the detail on the vest and the swirly print on the skirt, which has a drawstring waist and ripstop nylon yoke.
A very pretty subtle color combo. My Tahari Maryjanes were the perfect complement.
On my right arm, a ring from Nordstrom made of a veiny boulder and a silver costume bracelet with crystals.
On my left, my Swarovski Nirvana in Black Diamond, and a pewter cuff I got from Ebay.
I also shined up an old purse that is another Hermes knockoff. But this one is actually nice, unlike my faux Collier de Chien bracelet.
I don't remember where I got it, but it is definitely not a real Hermes. But it's good enough for me.
